Shiho Yoshimura
is a former Japanese volleyball player. She played for Ageo Medics in the V Premier League. Early life and career Yoshimura was born in Isehara City, Kanagawa Prefecture. In the third year of elementary school, she started playing volleyball under the influence of her sister. At Kawasaki Tachibana High School, she was active in the 2007 Saga Inter High (Best 4). In 2008, Yoshimura attended Tokai University and joined Akari Omi and Kaname Yamaguchi as first-year quartet ace spikers to win second place in the second league in the spring of the same year. In July 2011, Yoshimura was elected as the 26th Universiade's representative. In December of the same year, she became the driving force of the victory at All Japan Incare and won the Best Scorer Award. Volleyball is a team sport in which two teams of six players are separated by a net. Each team tries to score points by grounding a ball on the other team's court under organized rules. Akari (ASTRO-F) was an infrared astronomy satellite developed by Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency, in cooperation with institutes of Europe and Korea. It was launched on 21 February 2006, at 21:28 UTC (06:28, 22 February JST) by M-V rocket into Earth sun-synchronous orbit. The 2013 Summer Universiade, officially known as the XXVII Summer Universiade (russian: XXVII Летняя Универсиада), was held in the city of Kazan, Russia, the most northerly city ever to host a Summer Universiade.
