Shiding District () is a rural district in southern New Taipei City, Taiwan. History Shiding used to be a thriving town during the Qing Dynasty due to its geographically favorable condition as a resting place on the way to Yilan and its coal mine resources and tea trading. Shiding was a rural township of Taipei County until the upgrade of the county to become the New Taipei municipality on 25 December 2010, Shiding became a district. Districts are administrative subdivisions of the Taiwan, Republic of China (Taiwan)'s special municipality (Taiwan), special municipalities of the second level and provincial city (Taiwan), provincial cities of the third level formerly under its Provinces of China, provinces. Putty is a material with high plasticity, similar in texture to clay or dough, typically used in domestic construction and repair as a sealant or filler. Although some types of putty (typically those using linseed oil) slowly polymerise and become stiff, many putties can be reworked indefinitely, in contrast to other types of filler which typically set solid relatively rapidly.
