John "Jack" William Shera was a Canadian politician who served as a Member of the legislative assembly, Member of the North-West Legislative Assembly from 1898 until 1905, representing the district of Victoria (N.W.T. electoral district), Victoria in what is now eastern Alberta. Early life Shera was born in Ireland in the 1860s. He emigrated to Canada in 1872, first settling in Toronto. He moved to Regina, SK, Regina (then part of the Northwest Territories) in 1882, and later to Fort Saskatchewan. John McEffer Shera (1840 – 19 September 1906) was a New Zealand Liberal Party, Liberal Party Member of Parliament in Auckland, New Zealand. Biography Early life Shera was born in Ireland in 1840. He sailed to Australia in 1867 before continuing on to New Zealand a year later. He landed in Auckland and found work as a share broker. He married a daughter of Henry Balneavis, Jemima Balneavis, at St Paul's Church, Auckland, St. Paul's Church in April 1873. His wife was part-Māori people, Māori and Shera ensured that Māori women were included in the electoral reform bill that granted Women's suffrage in New Zealand, women's suffrage. She-Ra, real name Adora, is a fictional superheroine in the 1985 Filmation series ''She-Ra: Princess of Power'' and its 2018 Reboot (fiction), reboot ''She-Ra and the Princesses of Power''. A series of toys under her name was produced by Mattel in 1984. Her first published appearance was in the 1984 minicomic "The Story of She-ra", which, like the subsequent He-Man and She-Ra animated feature film, introduced her as He-Man's twin sister, Princess Adora, kidnapped by Hordak in her infancy. That minicomic, which features He-Man, the Sorceress of Castle Grayskull, and Castle Grayskull itself, also features one of the very first published appearances of both Hordak and Catra.
