Shenton Way MRT station is an underground Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) station on the Thomson-East Coast Line (TEL). Situated in Downtown Core, Singapore, the station is near Shenton Way and commercial developments such as Asia Square and Marina One. First announced in August 2012 as part of the Thomson line (TSL), Shenton Way station was constructed as part of TEL Phase 3 (TEL 3) with the merger of the TSL and the Eastern Region line. Mount Pleasant MRT Station
Mount Pleasant MRT station is a non-operational underground Mass Rapid Transit station on the Thomson-East Coast Line in Novena, Singapore. Located within the former grounds of Old Police Academy, the station is planned to serve future housing developments in the area. First announced in August 2012 as part of the Thomson line (TSL), the station was constructed as part of TEL Phase 3 (TEL3) with the merger of the TSL and the Eastern Region line (ERL). Initially slated to open along with the rest of the TEL3 stations, it was announced in November 2021 that the station would only open when its surrounding areas are further developed, even though it has been structurally completed. East West MRT Line
The East West line (EWL) is a high-capacity Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) line operated by SMRT in Singapore, running from Pasir Ris station in the east to Tuas Link station in the west, with an additional branch between Changi Airport and Tanah Merah stations. It is the second Mass Rapid Transit line to be built in Singapore. The line is the longest on the MRT network (this title will be given to the Cross Island line upon its complete opening by the 2040s), with 35 stations, 8 of which (from Lavender to Tiong Bahru and Changi Airport stations) are underground. Tanjong Pagar MRT Station
Tanjong Pagar MRT station is an underground Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) station on the East West line located at Maxwell Road between the junctions of Peck Seah Street and Cecil Street in Downtown Core, Singapore. The station was built in the 1980s, and was opened in December 1987. Taking its name from Tanjong Pagar Road, which is located near the station, it is located near Tanjong Pagar Complex, the AXA Tower and International Plaza. Downtown MRT station is an underground Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) station on the Downtown line, located in Downtown Core, Singapore. The station is situated underneath Central Boulevard between the junctions of Straits View and Marina View. It primarily serves the Marina Bay Financial Centre as well as Asia Square, Central Boulevard Towers and Marina One. History Downtown station, then provisionally named Landmark, was first announced in June 2005 as part of the Downtown Extension (DTE) between Millenia and Chinatown stations. UIC Building
The UIC Building (United Industrial Corporation Limited Building) was a former 40- storey, skyscraper in the city-state of Singapore. History The tower was completed in 1973, and it was the 39th-tallest building in Singapore, tied in rank with Chevron House, Meritus Mandarin Singapore Tower Two, and One Marina Boulevard. At the time of its 1973 completion, the UIC Building was the tallest structure in the city-state and one of the tallest buildings in Southeast Asia. It retained the former title for only one year, as the United Overseas Bank Plaza Two was completed in 1974. The building was renovated in 1986 and was given a new concrete facade in the Brutalist style of architecture. In 2007, United Industrial Corporation, under a collective sale, bought the 21.2 per cent of the UIC Building that it did not already own in order for a redevelopment. Marina Bay MRT Station
Marina Bay MRT station is an underground Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) interchange station on the North South (NSL), Circle (CCL) and Thomson–East Coast (TEL) lines in Singapore. Located in the Downtown Core district near Marina Bay, the station serves the Marina One Residences, Marina Bay Suites and the Marina Bay Financial Centre.
