Shenoy Nagar
Shenoy Nagar is a neighbourhood in Chennai, India and is a part of the Greater Anna Nagar Region. It is surrounded by Anna Nagar East in the North also Kilpauk in the North and East, Chetpet in its very rare South-East end, Aminjikarai in the South, Arumbakkam in the South-West and Anna Nagar in the North-West barely. Thiru Vi Ka Park is located here. A skating park was also opened in 2006 by the Government of Tamil Nadu to encourage the kids to learn skating. The area is served by Shenoy Nagar Metro station which falls on the Metro line between Chennai International Airport and Chennai Central. Kilpauk
Kilpauk is a semi residential area located in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. The distance from Chennai's city to Kilpauk is about 6 km. The region is situated off the Poonamallee High Road in the west. Adjacent areas of Kilpauk include Chetpet, Kellys, Egmore, Ayanavaram, Anna Nagar, Choolaimedu and Purasawalkam. The nearest railway station for Kilpauk is the one at Chetpet. Triplicane
Triplicane, known in the vernacular as Thiruvallikeni, is one of the oldest neighbourhoods of Chennai, India. It is situated on the Bay of Bengal coast and about from Fort St George. The average elevation of the neighbourhood is 14 metres above sea level. Along with Mylapore and the surrounding regions, Triplicane is historically much older than the city of Chennai itself, with a mention in records as early as the Pallava period. Thiru Vi Ka Park, Chennai
Thiru Vi Ka Park, also known as Shenoy Nagar Park, is an urban park at Chennai, India. The park is located in Shenoy Nagar. History The park originally spanned about 8.8 acres with around 300 trees. In 2007, the Chennai Corporation developed the park at a cost of 6.4 million, including installing statues of some leaders, and opened it to the public in 2008. However, in 2011, the park was closed owing to construction work of the Chennai Metro Rail. About 130 trees were axed down to make way for the metro rail construction. With the Metro work getting completed in May 2017, the park is being renovated at a cost of 40 million and is expected to be ready by mid-2019. The park now has only 170 trees, down from 300 trees before the construction of the Metro Rail. Arumbakkam is a residential locality in Chennai. The locality Arumbakkam is notable for D G Vaishnav College. The Chennai Bottling Company (popularly known as the Gold Spot Company) was located here, which has now been converted into a car dealership. Aminjikarai
Aminjikarai, originally Amaindakarai, is one of the oldest neighbourhoods in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. The arterial Poonamallee High Road ( NH 4) runs through it. Aminjikarai was annexed to Madras District in the year 1946, and Arumbakkam and Anna Nagar were carved out of Aminjikarai in the 1950s and 1970s.
