Shaun Haig
Shaun Barry Haig (born 19 March 1982) is a New Zealand former cricketer who played first-class and List A cricket for Otago. A right-handed batsman and occasional wicket-keeper, Haig was contracted to the team between 2006 and 2011. He is now an umpire and stood in matches in the 2015–16 Plunket Shield season. In June 2016 he was added to the International Panel of Umpires and Referees. On 3 January 2017 he stood in his first Twenty20 International (T20I) match, between New Zealand and Bangladesh. In January 2018, he was named as one of the seventeen on-field umpires for the 2018 Under-19 Cricket World Cup. Twenty20 International
A Twenty20 International (T20I) is a form of cricket, played between two of the international members of the International Cricket Council (ICC), in which each team faces a maximum of twenty overs. The matches have top-class status and are the highest T20 standard. The game is played under the rules of Twenty20 cricket. Starting from the format's inception in 2005, T20I status only applied to Full Members and some Associate Member teams. However, in April 2018, the ICC announced that it would grant T20I status to all its 105 members from 1 January 2019. 2018 Under-19 Cricket World Cup
The 2018 ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup was an international limited-overs cricket tournament that was held in New Zealand from 13 January to 3 February 2018. It was the twelfth edition of the Under-19 Cricket World Cup, and the third to be held in New Zealand (after the 2002 and 2010 events). New Zealand was the first country to host the event three times. The opening ceremony took place on 7 January 2018. The West Indies were the defending champions. However, they failed to defend their title, after losing their first two group fixtures. Following the group stage fixtures, Afghanistan, Australia, Bangladesh, England, India, New Zealand, Pakistan and South Africa had all qualified for the Super League quarter-final stage of the tournament.
