Shareefa Faradah Cooper (born March 12, 1984), known professionally as Shareefa, is an American R&B singer. Shareefa has lived in Charlotte, North Carolina. She signed with Disturbing tha Peace/Def Jam Recordings in 2005. Her first single, "Need a Boss", featuring the rapper and labelmate Ludacris, was produced by Rodney "Darkchild" Jerkins, and reached #62 on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100. Disturbing tha Peace Records (DTP) is an American record label founded by Ludacris, Jeff Dixon, and Chaka Zulu. History Beginnings Disturbing tha Peace was founded in 1998 by Christopher "Ludacris" Bridges, manager Chaka Zulu, and Zulu's brother Jeff Dixon. The record label started as an independent label and was created to serve as an outlet for musicians hailing from the “Dirty South” especially for Ludacris who at the time failed to get a major label record deal. ''Disturbing tha Peace'' is the second compilation album released by record label Disturbing tha Peace. Artists who appear on the album include Ludacris, Bobby V, I-20 and Shawnna. This album has been certified Gold by the RIAA. The first single from the album was " Georgia" by Ludacris and Field Mob featuring Jamie Foxx.
