Shaoyang Wugang Airport is an airport serving the city of Shaoyang in Hunan Province, China. It is located north of Wugang, a county-level city under the administration of Shaoyang, and from the urban center of Shaoyang. The airport received approval from the State Council of China and the Central Military Commission in July 2013. It is expected to cost 957 million yuan to build. The airport was opened on 28 June 2017, with an inaugural China Southern Airlines flight from Changsha Huanghua International Airport. Shaoyang (), formerly named Baoqing (Paoking) (), is a prefecture-level city in southwestern Hunan province, China, bordering Guangxi to the south. It has a history of 2500 years and remains an important commercial and transportation city in Hunan. Shenzhen Bao'an International Airport (formerly Shenzhen Huangtian Airport) is the airport serving Shenzhen, Guangdong Province. Lanzhou Zhongchuan International Airport is an airport serving Lanzhou, the capital of Gansu Province, China. It is located northwest of downtown Lanzhou. Kunming Changshui International Airport is the primary airport serving Kunming, the capital of Yunnan Province, China. The airport is located northeast of the city center in a graded mountainous area about above sea level.
