Shannon Kelley
Shannon Kelley is a former American football quarterback. He was the starting quarterback of the Texas Longhorns in the beginning of 1988. After graduating, he married Olympian and popular American gymnast Mary Lou Retton and after pursuing a business career, went into college coaching. He's currently the assistant head football coach at Houston Baptist University. High school Kelley was a Class 5A All-State quarterback at Houston Memorial High School. Longhorn career After seeing limited action in 2 games in 1985 and none in 1986, Kelley entered the 1987 season as the backup to Bret Stafford. Kelley first saw significant playing time in the second game of the season against BYU after Stafford went down with an injury. Down by 12 at the time, he led them back to within 5. Mark Murdock (quarterback)
Mark Murdock Jr. is a former American football quarterback. He was the starting quarterback of the Texas Longhorns in 1988-89. He set several records for a freshman quarterback at Texas in 1988. High school Murdock played football at Westwood High School in Round Rock just outside Austin. He led the team to an 8-2 record and was a top 30 recruit for the state of Texas in 1987 after throwing for 1,800 yards and 22 touchdowns. Longhorn career After redshirting his freshman year in 1987, Murdock shared playing time with senior Shannon Kelley in 1988. He replaced Kelley in wins over New Mexico and North Texas early in the season. In the 6th game of the season, after replacing Kelley, Murdock rallied Texas from a 24-3 third quarter deficit throwing 2 touchdown passes to bring Texas to within striking range, but the Razorbacks held on to preserve a 27-24 win. The Nastia Liukin Cup (formerly the Nastia Liukin Supergirl Cup from 2010–11) is an annual artistic gymnastics competition held in the United States and hosted by Olympic gymnast Nastia Liukin. History In August 2009, USA Gymnastics announced that they had partnered with 2008 Olympic champion Nastia Liukin to create a competitive opportunity for the country's top Junior Olympic gymnasts that is intended to serve as a debut for pre-elite competitors on the national stage. The inaugural Nastia Liukin Cup was held in 2010 and had 36 participants. Eligible to compete are Level 10 female gymnasts in both the junior and senior fields. McKenna Lane Kelley (born April 15, 1997 in Houston, Texas) is a retired American artistic gymnast. Early life McKenna Kelley was born on April 15, 1997 in Houston, Texas. She is the second of four children of Olympic gold medal gymnast Mary Lou Retton and former Texas Longhorns quarterback Shannon Kelley. Her older sister Shayla competed for the Baylor University Acrobatics and Tumbling team, her younger sister Skyla is a competitive cheerleader, and her younger sister Emma is set to join the University of Arkansas gymnastics team in 2020. Richard Wade Walton is a former American football quarterback. He was the starting quarterback of the Texas Longhorns in early 1998. He was the backup quarterback for James Brown for three years before winning the starting job as a 5th year Senior. He started for the first two games in 1998 but broke his hand against UCLA and as a result lost his starting job to Major Applewhite. James Brown (born May 17, 1975) is a former American football quarterback. He was the starting quarterback of the Texas Longhorns from 1994 to 1997. At the time, he was only the second black quarterback to guide Texas through an entire season (after Donnie Little in 1978), and is credited for "opening doors" for future black quarterbacks at Texas, such as Casey Thompson and Vince Young. Fairmont State University is a public university in Fairmont, West Virginia. History Fairmont State University’s roots reach back to the formation of public education in the state of West Virginia. The first private normal school in West Virginia was established to train teachers in Fairmont in 1865 by John N. Boyd, the school’s first principal.
