Shakti (comics)
Shakti is an Indian comic book character, one of a number of titles published by Raj Comics. Her special powers include fire and a third eye. Origin Chanda is the host for the spirit of Shakti. Chanda was an ordinary housewife, until one day she discovered that her husband had been killing her daughters. The monstrosity and injustice of it all opens up the volcano of anger in her, sending the smoke to the heavens. The Goddess Kali uses Chanda's body to transform into Shakti, to deliver justice. Chanda killed her husband in the form of Shakti. Chanda keeps herself busy in hospital and social works. She has a third eye which is the sign of the Goddess Kali, but keepsit covered with a headband which she pretends to use to cure her permanent migraine. Raj Comics
Raj Comics, is an Indian comic books publisher, based in New Delhi, India. It published a line of Indian comic books through Raja Pocket Books since its foundation in 1984 by Rajkumar Gupta, Manoj Gupta and Sanjay Gupta. Some of its most well known characters include Nagraj, Super Commando Dhruva, Bhokal, Doga, Parmanu, Tiranga, Bankelal, Shakti, Inspector Steel, Ashwaraj ,Bheriya and Anthony. Raj Comics is credited as being one of the leading comic book distributors in India. Raja Pockets initially published pulp-fiction books. Anupam Sinha
Anupam Sinha is an Indian comic book artist and writer, credited as the creator of the Raj Comics superhero Super Commando Dhruva. The ''BusinessWorld'' website said that Sinha revolutionised Indian comics with his work at Raj Comics. Career Starting his career in 1975 at the age of 13 for a small magazine called Deewana Tej at Kanpur, Sinha got his “big break” four years later, when he joined Diamond Comics. While working on popular comics such as Tauji aur Jadoo Ka Danda, Tauji aur Jadugar Sambha, Lalchi Jadugar and Atyachari Ka Atank. Sinha also attended Kanpur’s Christchurch College. He worked with Diamond Comics creating Fauladi Singh comics Fauladi Singh Aur Shaitan Tarwill, Fauladi Singh Ki Tarwill se Takkar and Fauladi Singh aur Vinash Ke Pujari. Third Eye
The third eye (also called the mind's eye or inner eye) is a mystical invisible eye, usually depicted as located on the forehead, which provides perception beyond ordinary sight. In Hinduism, the third eye refers to the ajna (or brow) chakra. Adi Parashakti
Mahadevi ( sa, महादेवी, ), also referred to as Adi Parashakti, Adi Shakti, and Abhaya Shakti, is the supreme goddess in the Shaktism sect of Hinduism. According to this tradition, all Hindu goddesses are considered to be manifestations of this single great Goddess, who is comparable to the deities Vishnu and Shiva as Para Brahman. Goddess Kali
Kali (; sa, काली, ), also referred to as Mahakali, Bhadrakali, and Kalika ( sa, कालिका), is a Hindu goddess who is considered to be the goddess of ultimate power, time, destruction and change in Shaktism.
