Shakey's V-League 13th Season Collegiate Conference
The Shakey's V-League 13th Season Collegiate Conference is the 26th conference of the Shakey's V-League and the second conference for its 13th season. The conference was started on July 30, 2016 at the Ynares Sports Arena with the first two games of the conference. Majority of the games will be held at the Philsports Arena, Pasig. There are ten (10) competing teams (5 from UAAP, 4 from NCAA and 1 from ISAA) who will split into two brackets for this conference, which served as a pre-season tournament for collegiate leagues. ABS-CBN Sports+Action is covering the games live on television. Shakey's V-League
The Premier Volleyball League (PVL) is a women's professional volleyball league in the Philippines organized by Sports Vision Management Group, Inc. The league began in 2004 as the Shakey's V-League, a women's collegiate league. Since 2011, the league became open to participation of corporate clubs and other non-collegiate teams. The Spikers' Turf has served as the men's counterpart of the league. The FEU Tamaraws are the varsity teams of Far Eastern University in the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP). The collegiate women's varsity teams are called the ''Lady Tamaraws'' while the high school varsity teams are called the ''Baby Tamaraws''. Nicole Anne Zapanta Tiamzon (born November 3, 1995) is a Filipina professional volleyball player. Personal life Tiamzon, a Taytay, Rizal-native volleybelle, started playing when she was 10, and started competing in her second year of high school in Siena College of Taytay. She tried out for the Lady Maroons volleyball team of the University of the Philippines and got accepted. She graduated with a degree in Sports Science. Diana Mae Magtoto "Tots" Carlos (born July 7, 1998) is a Filipino volleyball player who currently plays for the Creamline Cool Smashers. She was playing with UP Lady Fighting Maroons of the University of the Philippines-Diliman, and a member of both the indoor and beach volleyball collegiate varsity teams of the university. Maria Arielle Estrañero is a Filipino volleyball athlete player. She is a former player of the UP Lady Fighting Maroons in the UAAP in both indoor and beach volleyball. Career Estrañero studied her secondary education at University of St. La Salle in Bacolod. She was one of the players who represented Western Visayas in the Palarong Pambansa 2014 where she bagged the Best Attacker award. She chose to study at the University of the Philippines - Diliman for college taking up Communication Research. She plays multiple positions for the UP Lady Fighting Maroons as a converted setter, converted libero, and as an attacker.
