Shakey's V-League 11th Season 1st Conference
The Shakey's V-League 11th Season: 1st Conference is the 19th conference of Shakey's V-League, a collegiate women's volleyball league in the Philippines founded in 2004. The opening ceremonies was held on March 23, 2014, with the first doubleheader of volleyball games at the Filoil Flying V Arena in San Juan. There are 12 teams competing this including the join forces of all the top selected players from Davao in one team (called as Davao Lady Agilas) and the debut of St. Louis University of Baguio. Also, the return of Arellano, Adamson, Ateneo, FEU, San Sebastian, CSB, NU, Perpetual, SWU, and UST. This is league's first time to have 12 participating schools to battle for the championship, and first to have a school representing Mindanao region. The Filoil EcoOil Centre, formerly Filoil Flying V Centre, Filoil Flying V Arena and The Arena in San Juan, also known as the Entertainment and Recreational Arena of the People (initials taken after former mayor and president Joseph Estrada's nickname 'Erap'), is an indoor sporting arena located in Santolan Road Bonny Serrano Avenue, Corazon de Jesus, San Juan, Metro Manila, Philippines. The National University Bulldogs are the collegiate men's varsity teams of National University in the University Athletic Association of the Philippines. Jennylyn Reyes (born January 12, 1991) is a Filipino volleyball athlete who competed with PSL Manila in the 2016 FIVB Club World Championship. Career Reyes played for Meralco Power Spikers from 2013 to 2015. She was awarded Best Libero in the 2015 Philippine Super Liga All-Filipino. She played for Petron Tri-Activ Spikers before being selected to play with Foton Pilipinas in the 2016 Asian Club Championship and with PSL Manila for the 2016 FIVB Club World Championship. Maria Paulina "Pau" Soriano is a Filipino volleyball athlete player of the Creamline Cool Smashers that plays in the Premier Volleyball League (formerly known as the Shakey's V-League). Personal life Soriano went to Tandang Sora Elementary School in Banlat, Quezon City and the Ernesto Rondon High School. She is a graduate of Hospitality Management from Adamson University. Career During her collegiate years she played with Adamson Lady Falcons from 2008 to 2012 and was team captain from 2011 to 2012 and playing as its quick hitter or middle blocker. Soriano played with Cagayan Valley Lady Rising Suns from 2013 to 2015. She played the 2013 Shakey's V-League All-Star game.
