Shakardara District
Shakardara District is situated in the central part of Kabul Province, Afghanistan. It has a population of 3,000 people, with another 10,000 expected to return from abroad (2002 official UNHCR est.). Shakardara district borders Parvan Province to the west, Guldara District to the north, Mir Bacha Kot, Deh Sabz and Kabul districts to the east, and Paghman District to the south. Its headquarters is the village of Shakar Dara, which is located in the central part of the district. The agriculture is the main source of income. In December 2009, the district was declared close to ''"Poppy-free"'' by the Afghan Ministry of Counternarcotics. Mir Bacha Kot District is situated in the central part of Kabul Province, Afghanistan. Pamir Airways Flight 112
Pamir Airways Flight 112 was a scheduled passenger flight from Kunduz Airport, Kunduz to Kabul International Airport in Kabul, Afghanistan. On 17 May 2010, the flight was operated by an Antonov An-24 carrying 39 passengers and 5 crew when it crashed onto terrain. No one onboard made it out alive. Flight history The aircraft involved was an Antonov An-24, manufacturer's serial number (MSN) 27307903, registration YA-PIS. The aircraft first flew in 1972 and had been bought by Pamir Airways in February 2010, having spent some time in storage in Bulgaria. Hamid Karzai

Paghman District
Paghman District is in the western part of Kabul Province, Afghanistan. It has a population of over 120,000 people (2002 official UNHCR est.). Paghman district borders Wardak and Parwan provinces to the west, Shakardara District to the north, Kabul to the east and Char Asiab District to the south-east. Its headquarters is the town of Paghman, which is in the northeastern part of the district. Due to the wars in the region, 50% of the buildings in the district were destroyed and many people fled. Deh Sabz District, also romanized Dih Sabz District, (the name translating to 'Green Village') is situated northeast of Kabul city in Afghanistan. It has a population of 100,136 people (2002 UNHCR estimate). About 70% are Pashtuns and 30% are Tajiks. Guldara District is located in the northwestern part of Kabul Province, Afghanistan. It has a population of 25,213 people, including new returnees (2006 official UNDP est.).
