Shai Buium
Shai Buium (born March 26, 2003) is an American professional ice hockey defenseman for the Grand Rapids Griffins of the American Hockey League (AHL) as a prospect for the Detroit Red Wings of the National Hockey League (NHL). He played college ice hockey at the University of Denver. Playing career Buium played two seasons for the Sioux City Musketeers. During the 2019–20 season, he recorded one assist in four games. During the 2020–21 season, in his first full season with the Musketeers, he recorded four goals and 22 assists in 50 regular season games and one goal and two assists in four playoff games. Following the season he was named to the USHL All-Rookie Second Team. On July 24, 2021, he was drafted in the second round, 36th overall, by the Detroit Red Wings in the 2021 NHL entry draft. The Iowa Wild are a professional ice hockey team in the American Hockey League, that began play for the 2013–14 season. The team plays at Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines, Iowa, as the AHL affiliate of the NHL's Minnesota Wild. The 2024 NCAA Division I Men's Ice Hockey Tournament was the national championship tournament for men's college ice hockey in the United States held from March 28-April 13, 2024. Zeev Buium (born December 7, 2005) is an American college ice hockey defenseman for the University of Denver of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA). He was drafted 12th overall by the Minnesota Wild in the 2024 NHL entry draft. Playing career Junior Buium played two seasons for the USA Hockey National Team Development Program. During the 2021–22 season, he recorded four goals and nine assists in 49 games for the Under-17 team, and two goals and three assists in 32 USHL games.
