Shahzad Hasan
Shahzad Hasan (also known as Shahi Hasan), is a Pakistani musician, record producer, occasional actor, bass guitarist, backing vocalist and music industry executive. Co-founding the pop and rock band, Vital Signs, with keyboardist Rohail Hyatt in 1986, he earned recognition of playing bass guitar and as an original member of Vital Signs. In addition to his role as the band's bass player and backing vocalist, he has undertaken many other roles for the band, such as producing and co-producing their albums, producing backstage music for the popular television series, ''Coke Studio''. In Pakistan, he has been cited as one of the greatest bassist in the country as well as earned much respect in the country for producing the music. ''Vital Signs 1'' was the first album of the Pakistani band Vital Signs. Fresh from the success of their smash hit Dil Dil Pakistan Vital Signs went to work on their debut album, with Shoaib Mansoor providing the lyrics to all but 2 songs. Dil Dil Pakistan had unparalleled success, something which no song has ever been able to achieve in Pakistan, on its way to becoming one of the most famous songs ever written. Rohail Hyatt produced the album, his first shot at music production. He is now known as one of the best Music Producers in Pakistan. The songs were varied in their arrangements, ranging from rock (Do Pal Ka Jeevan, Chehra) to bubblegum pop (Yaadein). Rohail Hyatt
Rohail Hyatt (Urdu: روحیل حیات) is a Pakistani record producer, keyboardist, and composer. As record producer, Hyatt is largely credited with pioneering Pakistani pop rock music by incorporating western rock and pop influences. In 1986, Hyatt founded the band Vital Signs and released its commercially hit and critically acclaimed album, ''Vital Signs 1''. The first album included the international number-one single "Dil Dil Pakistan" and "Tum Mil Gaye", which were composed by Hyatt. The big commercial success of Vital Signs' first album helped shape the rock music industry of Pakistan. Alamgir (pop Singer)
Alamgir Haq, usually referred to as just Alamgir ( ur, ); born 11 August 1955), is a Pakistani singer-songwriter, guitarist, and one of the pioneers of pop music in Pakistan. His style of singing is inspired by playback singer Ahmed Rushdi and Elvis Presley. Early life Alamgir was born on 11 August 1955 in East Pakistan (present-day Bangladesh). His father, Farmuzal Haq, was a politician and a member of the All India Muslim League as Secretary of Treasury and later a member of Pakistan's National Assembly during the presidency of Ayub Khan. Ali Azmat Butt (born 20 April 1970) is a Pakistani singer-songwriter, musician and actor. He is best known as the lead singer for the influential Sufi Rock band Junoon and for his subsequent solo career. In 2001, he became part of the first Pakistani band (Junoon) ever to perform at the United Nations General Assembly. Strings (band)
Strings () was a Pakistani pop/rock band composed of two members, plus four live band members from Karachi, Pakistan. The band was initially formed by four college students—Bilal Maqsood (vocals and guitars), Faisal Kapadia (vocals), Rafiq Wazir Ali (synthesizer) and Kareem Bashir Bhoy (bass guitar)—in 1988. In 1992 the quartet disbanded, only to make a comeback with Maqsood and Kapadia in 2000. While the initial band rode the new wave of Pakistani pop music, the later lineup ushered a revival in the Pakistani music industry. In 1990 the band signed with EMI Records and released their debut album, '' Strings''.
