Shahinlal Meloly
Shahinlal Meloly (born 15 May 1990) is an Indian professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Chennai City F.C. in the I-League. Career Born in Calicut, Kerala, Meloly started his footballing career with Viva Kerala as a youth player in 2008. He then signed for Pune F.C. of the I-League in 2011. Then, in October 2011, Meloly gained fame when he was praised by former Blackburn Rovers manager Steve Kean after Pune took on the Premier League side in a friendly at the Balewadi Sports Complex. Kean said of Meloly that "He was brave. I think he pulled off a triple block at one stage. He is one the club should keep an eye on." On 19 December 2014, he signed for I-League newcomers Bharat FC. Indian Super League
The Indian Super League (ISL) is an Indian professional league for men's association football clubs. At the top of the Indian football league system, it is the country's primary football competition. Organised by the All India Football Federation (AIFF), and their commercial partners Football Sports Development Limited (FSDL), it is officially known as Hero Indian Super League for sponsorship ties with Hero MotoCorp. The league currently comprises 11 clubs. Each season of the tournament generally runs from October to March. During the league stage of the competition, each club plays against all the other clubs in a round-robin style. The 2016–17 I-League was the 10th season of the I-League, the top Indian professional league for association football clubs, since its establishment in 2007. The season began on 7 January 2017 and concluded on 30 April 2017. Aizawl won their first title on the final day after securing a draw against Shillong Lajong on 30 April 2017. Defending champions Bengaluru FC finished in the fourth place. Dempo had entered the league after being promoted from the I-League 2nd Division but withdrew from the league along with Salgaocar and Sporting Goa.
