''Shadow War'' is a nine-issue crossover event published from DC Comics featuring Batman, Deathstroke, and Damian Wayne as Batman and Robin try to stop Deathstroke from committing an unthinkable act against the League of Assassins, Talia al Ghul, and Ra's al Ghul. The event overall received positive reviews, with critics praising the writing, art, and action. Publication history In December 2021, DC Comics announced "Shadow War" as Joshua Williamson temporarily became the new writer for Batman while DC Comics searched for a more permanent Batman writer. Deathstroke has committed a crime against the League of Shadows, where Batman and Robin must track down Deathstroke and bring him to justice. Howard Porter (artist)
Howard Porter is an American comic book artist from southern Connecticut. Education Howard Porter graduated from Paier College of Art in Connecticut where he majored in illustration. One of his teachers there was Frank McLaughlin (artist), Frank McLaughlin. McLaughlin also worked as a comic book inker and he began to give Porter work assisting him in his inking jobs which led Porter to assist other inkers and eventually find work for himself in the industry. Biography Porter worked as a penciller and his first major run on a title came with DC Comics' ''Ray (Ray Terrill), The Ray'' (vol. 2) (1994–1995), where he worked with writer Christopher Priest (comics), Christopher Priest. Shortly afterward, Porter worked on DC's summer 1995 fictional crossover, crossover event ''Underworld Unleashed'', with writer Mark Waid, followed by the Justice League of America relaunch, ''JLA (comic book), JLA'' (1997–2000), with writer Grant Morrison and inker John Dell. Dick Grayson
Richard John "Dick" Grayson is a superhero appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics, commonly in association with Batman and Teen Titans. Created by writer Bill Finger and artist Bob Kane, he first appeared in ''Detective Comics'' #38 in April 1940 as the original and most popular incarnation of Robin, Batman's crime-fighting partner. In ''Tales of the Teen Titans'' #44 (July 1984), the character, after becoming a young adult, retires his role as Robin and assumes the superhero persona of Nightwing (created by Marv Wolfman and artist George Pérez).
