Shadow Cabinet Of Lindiwe Mazibuko
The Shadow Cabinet of Lindiwe Mazibuko succeeded the Shadow Cabinet of Athol Trollip as the Official Opposition Shadow Cabinet. Not long after Lindiwe Mazibuko was elected as the parliamentary leader by the Democratic Alliance's caucus on 27 October 2011, she announced a new shadow cabinet, on 1 February 2012. In her capacity of parliamentary leader, Mazibuko leads the Official Opposition Shadow Cabinet and represents party leader Helen Zille in parliament, who is at present Premier of the Western Cape. Elected alongside Mazibuko was Watty Watson, as Chief Whip, and former Fulbright Scholar Wilmot James as Chairman of the Caucus. The Democratic Alliance retained their position as official opposition in South Africa following the 2009 general elections and announced their shadow cabinet on May 15. The Official Opposition Shadow Cabinet was led by Athol Trollip who succeeded Sandra Botha as the Democratic Alliance's parliamentary leader. Trollip represented party leader Helen Zille, who was serving as Premier of the Western Cape. Tim Harris (South African Politician)
Tim Harris (born c. 1979) is a South African politician, a former Democratic Alliance member of the National Assembly, and a Parliamentary Counsellor to Mmusi Maimane, the Leader of the Opposition. He served as Shadow Minister of Finance from 2012 to 2014, and was succeeded by Dion George. Jacobus Frederik "Jacques" Smalle is a South African politician from Limpopo who has been serving as a Member of the Limpopo Provincial Legislature since 2014, and previously from 2009 to 2010. Lance William Greyling (born 14 June 1973) is a South African politician and civil servant who served in the National Assembly from 1999 to 2015. He was the chief whip of the Independent Democrats (ID) until 2014, when the party merged with the Democratic Alliance (DA). Andricus Pieter van der Westhuizen is a South African politician who has served as a Member of the Western Cape Provincial Parliament since May 2019. George Gaolatlhe Boinamo (born 1948) is a South African politician who served as a Member of the National Assembly of South Africa for the Democratic Alliance from 2004 to 2014. Early life and education Boinamo was born in 1948. He trained to become a teacher at the Hebron College of Education in 1978. John Henry Steenhuisen (born 25 March 1976) is a South African politician who has served as the leader of the Opposition since October 2019 and has been the federal leader of the Democratic Alliance since November 2020, having served as the interim leader for one year from November 2019.
