Sha'Carri Richardson ( ; born March 25, 2000) is an American track and field sprinter who competes in the 100 meters and 200 meters. Richardson rose to fame in 2019 as a freshman at Louisiana State University, running 10.75 seconds to break the 100 m record at the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Championships. This winning time made her one of the ten fastest women in history at 19 years old. In April 2021, Richardson ran a new personal best of 10.72 seconds, becoming the sixth fastest woman of all time (at the time) and the fourth-fastest American woman in history. The 2019 NCAA Division I Indoor Track and Field Championships was the 55th NCAA Men's Division I Indoor Track and Field Championships and the 38th NCAA Women's Division I Indoor Track and Field Championships, held at the Birmingham Crossplex in Birmingham, Alabama near the campus of the host school, the University of Alabama at Birmingham. 60-meter Dash
60 metres, or 60-meter dash, is a sprint event in track and field. It is a championship event for indoor championships, normally dominated by the best outdoor 100 metres runners. At outdoor venues it is a rare distance, at least for senior athletes. The format of the event is similar to other sprint distances. The sprinters follow three initial instructions: 'ready', instructing them to take up position in the starting blocks; 'set', instructing them to adopt a more efficient starting posture, which also isometrically preloads their muscles. This will enable them to start faster. The final instruction is the firing of the starter's pistol. Upon hearing this the sprinters stride forwards from the blocks. Gabriele “Gabbi” Cunningham (born February 22, 1998) is an American Olympic track athlete. She won the bronze medal in the 60 metres hurdles at the 2022 World Indoor Championships in Belgrade. An alumna of the North Carolina State University and from Charlotte, North Carolina, she attended Mallard Creek High School. Cunningham was a 2018 NCAA All-American for the Indoor 60m hurdles, and a 2019 NCAA All-American for the Indoor 60m and the 60m hurdles. She was a two time Pan Am Junior Championships Medalist in 2017, with gold in the 4x100m relay and bronze in the 200m.
