Sean Doherty (born June 8, 1995, in Conway, New Hampshire) is an American biathlete. Career Doherty competed at the 2014 Winter Olympics and the 2018 Winter Olympics. Among other competitions, he participated in the Biathlon World Cup opening in 2015 in November and December. He represented the United States at the 2022 Winter Olympics. Seán Doherty (composer)
Seán Doherty (born 1987) is a composer, musicologist and singer from Derry, Northern Ireland. Life Doherty was born in Derry, Northern Ireland, where he was educated at St Eugene's primary school and Lumen Christi College. He read music at St John's College, Cambridge, and was awarded a PhD from Trinity College, Dublin, on submission of a thesis entitled ‘Solfaing: The History of Four-Syllable Solmization to the Present Day’. Doherty is a lecturer in music at Dublin City University. He is a member of the acclaimed Irish choir New Dublin Voices. Doherty has won the Feis Ceoil choral composition four times, the ''Choir & Organ'' Magazine composition competition twice, the West Cork Chamber Music Festival ‘Young Composers’ Bursary’ twice, the Jerome Hynes composition award, the St Giles' Cathedral, Edinburgh composition competition, and the Fragments composition award in association Historic Scotland. Sean Doherty (ethicist)
Sean William Doherty (born 1980) is a British Anglican priest and academic specialising in Christian ethics. Since June 2019, he has been Principal of Trinity College, Bristol, an evangelical Anglican theological college. Biography Doherty studied English literature, theology and ethics at the University of Oxford (BA, MPhil, DPhil), and trained for ordained ministry at Wycliffe Hall, Oxford. His doctoral thesis was titled "Moral theological method in the theological ethics of Martin Luther and Arthur Rich, with particular reference to their economic ethics", and was completed in 2011. Doherty was ordained in the Church of England as a deacon in 2007 and as a priest in 2008. He served his curacy at St Gabriel's Church, Cricklewood in the Diocese of London from 2007 to 2010. He was additionally a lecturer at St Paul's Theological Centre, Holy Trinity Brompton, between 2008 and 2010. Sean Anthony Doherty (born 10 February 1985) is an English former footballer who played as a left-sided midfielder. Spending his youth at the Everton academy, when he was signed by Fulham in 2001 (aged 16) he was considered one of the best young players in England. After a loan spell with Blackpool in 2003, he moved to the Netherlands to play for ADO Den Haag in 2005 – having never made a first team appearance for Fulham. In 2006, he ended up at Accrington Stanley via Port Vale. He spent some time on loan at Southport, before he left for Belgian club Royal Antwerp in 2007. The next year he signed with Irish side Sligo Rovers. He 2010 he joined Marine via Witton Albion, before signing with Colwyn Bay the following year. Seán Doherty (Gaelic Footballer)
Seán Doherty (born 1946 in Wicklow, Ireland) is a former Gaelic football manager and player. He played football with his local club Ballyboden Wanderers, Ballyboden St Enda's and St Anne's and was a senior member of the Dublin county team throughout the 1970s. Doherty captained Dublin to the All-Ireland title in 1974. He later served as joint-manager of the team with Gerry McCaul and Tony Hempenstall for one season in 1989. Playing career Club Doherty played his club football with a selection of clubs throughout the 1960s and 1970s; however, it was with Ballyboden Wanderers/ Ballyboden St Enda's that he had his greatest successes. He first came to prominence with Ballyboden Wanderers when he captained the 1968 Dublin Junior Football championship winning team. Seán Doherty (29 June 1944 – 7 June 2005) was an Irish Fianna Fáil politician who served as Cathaoirleach of Seanad Éireann from 1989 to 1992, Minister for Justice from March 1982 to December 1982 and Minister of State for Justice from 1980 to 1981. He served as a Teachta Dála (TD) from 1977 to 1989 and 1992 to 2002. He was a Senator for the Administrative Panel from 1989 to 1992.
