Seth Stephens-Davidowitz
Seth Isaac Stephens-Davidowitz (born September 15, 1982) is an American data scientist, economist, and author. He is a ''New York Times'' op-ed contributor and a former data scientist at Google, as well as a former visiting lecturer at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. He has published research using Google Trends search data, as well as data from Wikipedia and Facebook, to gain real-time insights into people's thoughts and beliefs that they may be unwilling to admit publicly. His book ''Everybody Lies'' was published by HarperCollins in 2017. The book subsequently became a ''New York Times'' bestseller, and was named a book of the year by both PBS NewsHour and ''the Economist''. Tenafly High School is a four-year comprehensive community public high school in Tenafly in Bergen County, New Jersey, United States, serving students in ninth through twelfth grades as the lone secondary school of the Tenafly Public Schools. Mitchell Stephens (academic)
Mitchell Stephens (born August 16, 1949) is an American professor of journalism and mass communications at New York University's Arthur L. Carter Journalism Institute. He is also a respected journalist and historian with several original published works. Personal life Mitchell Stephens was born in New York City, and was raised in Manhattan, Queens, and Long Island. His father was Bernard Stephens (1917–1990), a labor newspaper editor. His mother, Lillian Stephens, was a retired professor of education, and lived on Long Island. He has one sibling, a sister, Beth Stephens, who is an international human rights lawyer and law professor at Rutgers in Camden, New Jersey. He attended The Wheatley School, a public school in Old Westbury, New York, and graduated in 1967. He graduated from Haverford College in 1971, with honors in English.
