Serpong is a district and a sub-district located in South Tangerang, Banten Province, Indonesia. Before South Tangerang City became an autonomous city, Serpong was one of the sub-districts of Tangerang Regency. BSD City
BSD City, formerly referred to Bumi Serpong Damai is a planned community located within Greater Jakarta in Indonesia. The project was initiated in 1984 by a group of private developers and started in 1989. The town is currently managed by the holding company PT Bumi Serpong Damai Tbk, which is owned by Sinar Mas Land, a subsidiary of the Sinar Mas Group, a large industrial conglomerate in Indonesia. BSD City encompasses a total area of approximately 6,000 hectares, hosting a range of residential houses, apartments, malls, offices, and more. Jakarta–Serpong Toll Road
The Jakarta–Serpong Toll Road, also known as Ulujami–Serpong Toll Road, is a toll road connecting South Jakarta and South Tangerang (mainly BSD City and Bintaro Jaya) in the province of Banten, Indonesia. Operated by Jasa Marga and Nusantara Infrastructure, this toll road is connected to the Jakarta Outer Ring Road in Ulujami and Petukangan areas. 2022 Flood The toll road was flooded due to heavy rain over South Tangerang on 4 October 2022, leading to this toll road inaccessible for traffic. It is argued that the flood happened due to lack of water storage and the narrowing of Cibenda River. The Ministry of Public Works along with PT Bumi Serpong Damai as the operator of this toll road built a retention pond to overcome the flooding, then raised the road height until 2 meters on KM 7 and cleaned river sediments in the cross-drain area. Serpong–Balaraja Toll Road
The Serpong–Balaraja Toll Road (shortened to Serbaraja Toll Road) is a toll road that connects Serpong with Balaraja, Tangerang Regency in the province of Banten, Indonesia. An extension from the Jakarta–Serpong Toll Road, it will provide access from Serpong to the Port of Merak via the Tangerang–Merak Toll Road. History Construction was initially scheduled to commence in 2016, but was delayed because of land acquisition issues. Construction of section 1A was completed in April 2022, and was opened for free public testing from 10 to 21 August 2022. The toll road was officially inaugurated on 20 September 2022. Jakarta Outer Ringroad 2 (Indonesian: Jalan Tol Lingkar Luar Jakarta 2) or JORR 2 is an under-construction toll road circling the Greater Jakarta area, running roughly parallel with the Jakarta Outer Ring Road (JORR 1) in Indonesia. Tangerang Regency
Tangerang Regency is a regency of Banten province, Indonesia. It is located on the island of Java. The current regent is Ahmed Zaki Iskandar. Though commonly misunderstood as being a part of Jakarta, Tangerang is actually outside Jakarta City but is part of Greater Jakarta (which is called Jabodetabek, Tangerang being the "ta" of the acronym).
