Serhiy Komisarenko
Serhiy Vasylʹovych Komisarenko ( uk, Сергій Васильович Комісаренко; born July 9, 1943) is a Ukrainian scientist, politician, and diplomat. He was a self-nominated candidate in the 2004 Ukrainian presidential election, and is chairman of thO. Palladin Institute of Biochemistryof the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. Scientific career Komisarenko received an M.D. degree in 1966 from the Bogomolets National Medical University, Kyiv Medical Institute and a Ph.D. in biochemistry from Kyiv University in 1970. He worked at the Palladin Institute of Biochemistry, Ukrainian Academy of Sciences from 1969 to 1992, becoming its director in 1992. He became an academician of the Ukrainian National Academy of Sciences in 1991, and of the Ukrainian Academy of Medical Sciences in 1993. National Security And Defense Council Of Ukraine
The National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine (NSDC; uk, Рада національної безпеки і оборони України, RNBO or RNBOU) is the coordinating state body of the executive power under the President of Ukraine on issues of national security and defense. It is a state agency tasked with developing and coordinating a policy of national security on domestic and international matters in advising the President of Ukraine (currently Volodymyr Zelensky). All the sessions of the council take place in the Presidential Administration Building. The agency's membership is determined by the President, but it must include the Prime Minister of Ukraine, Minister of Defense, Minister of Internal Affairs, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs. Yushchenko
Viktor Andriyovych Yushchenko ( uk, Віктор Андрійович Ющенко, ; born 23 February 1954) is a Ukrainian politician who was the third president of Ukraine from 23 January 2005 to 25 February 2010. As an informal leader of the Ukrainian opposition coalition, he was one of the two main candidates in the 2004 Ukrainian presidential election. Yushchenko won the presidency through a repeat runoff election between him and Prime Minister Viktor Yanukovych. The Ukrainian Supreme Court called for the runoff election to be repeated because of widespread electoral fraud in favor of Yanukovych in the original vote. Yushchenko won in the revote (52% to 44%). Yevhen Kyrylovych Marchuk ( uk, Євге́н Кири́лович Марчу́к; 28 January 1941 – 5 August 2021) was a Ukrainian politician, intelligence officer, and general who served as the fourth Prime Minister of Ukraine after its independence in 1991. During his career, Marchuk served in various other positions within the Ukrainian state apparatus, among them secretary of the National Security and Defense Council, Chief of the Security Service of Ukraine, a People's Deputy of Ukraine, and Defense Minister of Ukraine.
