Sergio Silva (Uruguayan Footballer)
Sergio Silva (died 26 August 2000) was a Uruguayan Association football, footballer who played professionally in Mexico, United States and Uruguay. Career Silva began playing football as a central forward in the Uruguayan Primera División. He played for C.A. Cerro and participated in the United Soccer Association with his Cerro teammates under the New York Skyliners franchise in 1967. In 1970, Silva moved to Mexico, where he would spend the remainder of his playing career. He initially signed with Liga MX, Mexican Primera División side Deportivo Toluca, but joined Club de Fútbol Torreón, Torreón in 1972. He moved to San Luis F.C., San Luis for the 1976–77 season and played for Jaibos Tampico Madero, Tampico the next season after Tampico acquired San Luis' franchise. Silva appeared in two 1970 FIFA World Cup qualifying matches for the Uruguay national football team during 1969. Sérgio Domingos Reis Silva (born 26 February 1994) is a Portuguese professional footballer who plays as a centre-back for Campeonato de Portugal club Gondomar. Club career Portugal On 27 July 2013, Silva made his professional debut with Oliveirense in a 2013–14 Taça da Liga match against Moreirense, when he started and played the full game. In the first match of the 2013–14 Segunda Liga season against Penafiel on the 11 August, he made his league debut. Indonesia On 22 August 2021, Silva signed a one-year contract with Indonesian Liga 1 club Arema on a free transfer. Sérgio made his league debut in a 1–1 draw against PSM Makassar on 5 September 2021 as a substitute for Dedik Setiawan in the 46th minute.
