Sergio Hernández (racing Driver)
Sergio Hernández von Rekowski (born 6 December 1983, Xàbia) is a Spanish racing driver, best known for having competed in the World Touring Car Championship. He won the WTCC Independents' Trophy in 2008 and 2010 World Touring Car Championship season, 2010. Career Early years Hernández's career started in karting in 1998, lasting until 2001 when he moved up to formula racing with Portuguese Formula BMW and Spanish Formula Toyota. In 2002 he debuted in Spanish Formula Three, driving for the Azteca team, where he would stay for 2003. In 2003 he also drove for Azteca in British Formula 3, driving some races. He also drove part of the World Series by Nissan, World Series Light season. He remained in Spanish F3 for 2004, only moving to the Campos Racing, Campos team. 2008 World Touring Car Championship Season
The 2008 World Touring Car Championship season was the fifth World Touring Car Championship season, the fourth since its 2005 return. It began on 2 March, and ended on 16 November, after twenty-four races. The championship, which was open to Super 2000 Cars and Diesel 2000 Cars, was composed of the FIA World Touring Car Championship for Drivers and the FIA World Touring Car Championship for Manufacturers. Durango Automotive SRL was an Italian auto racing team founded in 1980 by Ivone Pinton and Enrico Magro, which competed in Formula 3000, the 24 Hours of Le Mans and the GP2 Series. Juan Cruz Álvarez (born November 20, 1985 in Arrecifes, Argentina) is a race car driving, driver. Career Álvarez was the World Series Lights champion in 2003, driving for the Meycom team. He moved up to the World Series by Nissan for 2004 World Series by Nissan season, 2004. In 2005 GP2 Series season, 2005 he drove in the inaugural GP2 Series season for Campos Racing, scoring 4.5 points overall. He was not retained for 2006, and did not race during this year. Campos Racing is a Spanish motor racing team, founded by former Formula One driver Adrián Campos. The team has been successful in Formula Three and the GP2 Series. History After retiring from racing, Campos formed his own team at the end of 1997, under the name Campos Motorsport.
