Sergei Petrenko
Serhiy Anatoliiovych Petrenko (russian: Сергей Анатолъевич Петренко, uk, Сергіӣ Анатолійоович Петренко; born September 10, 1968) is a Ukrainian-Russian retired ice hockey left wing. He was drafted in the seventh round, 168th overall, by the Buffalo Sabres in the 1993 NHL Entry Draft and played 14 games for Buffalo during the 1993–94 NHL season. Career Petrenko spent the majority of his career playing in the Russian Hockey Super League. He played six seasons for HC Dynamo Moscow, and was a member of the Unified Team which won the gold medal at the 1992 Winter Olympics, before going to North America to join the Sabres' organization. He appeared in 81 games over two seasons with Buffalo's American Hockey League affiliate, the Rochester Americans; he also appeared in 14 NHL games with the Sabres during the 1993–94 season, recording four assists. HC Dynamo Moscow
HC Dynamo Moscow () is a Russian professional ice hockey club based in Moscow. It is a member of the Tarasov Division in the Kontinental Hockey League. Dynamo has won the Gagarin Cup twice, in 2011–12 and 2012–13 seasons, and have won the regular season championship once, in 2013–14, winning the Continental Cup. The Russian Superleague (russian: Чемпионат России Суперлига, ''Russian Championship Superleague''), commonly abbreviated as RSL, was the highest division of the main professional ice hockey league in Russia. It was considered the second best league in the world, after the National Hockey League (NHL) of North America. Tampere Cup is an annual ice hockey tournament held in Tampere, Finland. It is hosted by two local teams, Tappara and Ilves. The most successful team is one of the hosts, Tappara with four titles. The Russian men's national ice hockey team (russian: Сборная России по хоккею с шайбой) is the national men's ice hockey team of Russia, overseen by the Ice Hockey Federation of Russia. The Ice Hockey World Championships are an annual international men's ice hockey tournament organized by the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF). First officially held at the 1920 Summer Olympics, it is the sport's highest profile annual international tournament. The National League (NL) is a professional ice hockey league in Switzerland and is the top tier of the Swiss league system. Prior to the 2017–18 season, the league was known as National League A.
