Serengeti District
Serengeti District is one of the seven districts of Mara Region of Tanzania. Its administrative centre is the town of Mugumu. Districts Of Tanzania
As of 2021,there are 31 regions of Tanzania which are divided into 184 districts (Swahili: wilaya). In 2016, Songwe Region was created from the western part of Mbeya Region. The districts are each administered by a district council. Cities are separately administered by their own councils, and while administratively within a region, are not considered to be located within a district. Mara Region (''Mkoa wa Mara'' in Swahili) is one of Tanzania's 31 administrative regions. The region covers an area of . Serengeti
The Serengeti ( ) ecosystem is a geographical region in Africa, spanning northern Tanzania. The protected area within the region includes approximately of land, including the Serengeti National Park and several game reserves. The Serengeti hosts the second largest terrestrial mammal migration in the world, which helps secure it as one of the Seven Natural Wonders of Africa, and as one of the ten natural travel wonders of the world.
