Serene And Pearl
Considering Lily (formerly Serene & Pearl) was an American CCM group that was popular in the late 1990s. The group was founded by Serene Campbell and Pearl Barrett, who are sisters, in the United States in 1991, though both were born in New Zealand. Their first album (as Serene & Pearl) was 1995's ''Crazy Stories'', followed by a self-titled 1997 release which included the single "Cup", a major hit at Christian radio. Following this, Campbell left the group to raise her family, and Barrett began working with Jeanette Herdman, who is the wife of Audio Adrenaline member Bob Herdman. A third album followed in 1999. Contemporary Christian Music
Contemporary Christian music, also known as CCM, Christian pop, and occasionally inspirational music is a genre of modern popular music, and an aspect of Christian media, which is lyrically focused on matters related to the Christian faith and stylistically rooted in Christian music. It was formed by those affected by the 1960s Jesus movement revival who began to express themselves in other styles of popular music, beyond the church music of hymns, gospel and Southern gospel music that was prevalent in the church at the time. Audio Adrenaline
Audio Adrenaline was an American Christian rock band that formed in 1986 at Kentucky Christian University in Grayson, Kentucky. The band gained recognition during the 1990s and received two Grammy Awards and multiple Dove Awards. Audio Adrenaline were regular performers at the annual Creation Festival, Spirit West Coast festival, Agape Music Festival, and Alive Festival. In 2007, the group disbanded due to lead singer Mark Stuart's spasmodic dysphonia. During this time, they released eight studio albums. After a hiatus, the band reformed in 2012 with only bassist Will McGinniss returning from the original line-up. The new Audio Adrenaline was fronted by Kevin Max, formerly of DC Talk, as the new lead vocalist. This new line-up released '' Kings & Queens'' on March 12, 2013. ''Crazy Stories'' is the debut album by CCM duo Serene & Pearl, later known as Considering Lily. It was released on August 31, 1995 by ForeFront Records. The duo was composed of sisters Serene Campbell and Pearl Barrett at the time of this release. Critical reception John Bush of AllMusic says, "On their debut album, the sisters duo (born in Australia) play acoustic folk-pop with pleasing harmonies and good songwriting, akin to the Indigo Girls but not merely derivative." It is the second album released after the duo changed their name from Serene & Pearl and the first since Jeanette Herdman replaced Serene Campbell in the duo.
