Futsal At The 2013 Asian Indoor And Martial Arts Games
Futsal is a football-based game played on a hard court smaller than a football pitch, and mainly indoors. It has similarities to five-a-side football and indoor football. Futsal is played between two teams of five players each, one of whom is the goalkeeper. Unlimited substitutions are permitted. Unlike some other forms of indoor soccer, it is played on a hard court surface marked by lines; walls or boards are not used. It is played with a smaller, harder, lower-bounce ball than football. The surface, ball and rules favour ball control and passing in small spaces. The game emphasizes control, improvisation, creativity and technique. Naming ''Futsal'' comes from the Portuguese ''futebol de salão'' and from the Spanish ''fútbol sala'' or ''fútbol de salón'' (all translatable as "indoor football"). 2012–13 Iranian Futsal Super League
The 2012–13 Iranian Futsal Super League are the 14th season of the Iran Pro League and the 9th under the name ''Futsal Super League''. Shahid Mansouri are the defending champions. The season will feature 14 teams from the 2011–12 Iranian Futsal Super League and two new teams promoted from the ''2011–12 Iran Futsal's 1st Division'': Shahrdari Tabriz and Gaz Khozestan. The regular season, was played from 26 July 2012. 2017 AFC Futsal Club Championship
The 2017 AFC Futsal Club Championship was the 8th edition of the AFC Futsal Club Championship, an annual international futsal club tournament in Asia organised by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC). It was held in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam from 20 to 30 July 2017. The tournament was won by Chonburi Bluewave from Thailand after defeating Giti Pasand Isfahan from Iran 3–2 in the final. The win was Chonburi Bluewave's second Asian title, following after they won the 2013 AFC Futsal Club Championship four years ago. AFC Futsal Club Championship
The AFC Futsal Club Championship is the current highest Asian futsal club competition, hosted by the Asian Football Confederation. It is futsal equivalent to AFC Champions League. For the inaugural edition, AFC Futsal Committee decided to make it an invitational event, and each member association has been asked to nominate their national league champions for the tournament. History and format A trial edition, named 2006 Asia Futsal Cup, was run in 2006 with six teams participating. Iranian team Shensa Saveh beat Uzbek Ardus FC 5–1 in the final. The first recognised edition by the AFC was held in 2010 and ran with ten teams, forming two groups of five teams. The top two finishers then proceeded to the semi-finals. Since 2015 the final tournament is played with 12 teams. If more national league champions wish to enter a team, all but the top three finishers of the last tournament and the host nation, have to enter a qualification stage. Grand Prix De Futsal
The Grand Prix de Futsal is an international futsal competition of the same kind of the FIFA Futsal World Cup but with invited nations and held annually in Brazil. It was first held in 2005. History In 2007, the sixteen participating nations are divided in the first stage in four groups of four teams each. The nations play against each other once within their respective groups, and the two best placed teams of each group qualify to the second stage, which is the quarter-finals.
