Seoul City Women's Football Club (Korean: 서울시청 여자 축구단) is a South Korean women's football club based in Seoul. Seoul WFC was founded in March 2004 and is owned by the Seoul Metropolitan Government. The club competes in the WK League, the top division of women's football in South Korea, and plays its home games at the Seoul World Cup Auxiliary Stadium. The Seoul Metropolitan Government is a local government of Seoul, South Korea. The mayor is elected to a four-year term by the citizens of Seoul and is responsible for the administration of the city government. The Seoul Metropolitan Government deals with administrative affairs as the capital city of South Korea. Hence, it is more centralized than that of most other cities, with the city government being responsible for correctional institutions, public education, libraries, public safety, recreational facilities, sanitation, water supply, and welfare services. In the city government, there are 5 offices, 32 bureaus, and 107 divisions. The headquarters is located in the Seoul City Hall building which is in Taepyeongno, Jung-gu, Seoul. The 2014 WK League was the sixth season of the WK League, the top division of women's football in South Korea. Incheon Hyundai Steel Red Angels were the defending champions. The regular season began on 17 March 2014 and ended on 18 August 2014. Incheon Hyundai Steel Red Angels won their second consecutive league title.
