Seohocheon
The Seohocheon is a river in Suwon, South Korea. It has its source on the southern slopes of Gwanggyosan and flows south, through Cheoncheon-dong, past Dongnam Health College, to Seoho (West Lake), near Hwaseo Station. From there, it continues south and joins the Hwanggujicheon. There is a path alongside much of the length of the stream and this is currently being extended north towards the source. Rivers Of Korea
The Korean peninsula is mainly mountainous along its east coast, so most of its river water flows west, emptying into the Yellow Sea. Some of these rivers flow through lakes en route to the coast, but these are all artificial reservoirs, as there are no natural lakes on the Korean mainland. A few rivers head south, emptying into the Korea Strait and some more minor rivers flow east to the East Korea Bay, though these are usually little more than streams in comparison. Suwon
Suwon (, ) is the capital and largest city of Gyeonggi-do, South Korea's most populous province which surrounds Seoul, the national capital. Suwon lies about south of Seoul. It is traditionally known as "The City of Filial Piety". With a population close to 1.3 million, it is larger than Ulsan Metropolitan City, Ulsan, although it is not governed as a metropolitan city. Suwon has existed in various forms throughout History of Korea, Korea's history, growing from a small settlement to become a major industrial and cultural center. It is the only remaining completely walled city in South Korea. The city walls are one of the more popular tourist destinations in Gyeonggi-do, Gyeonggi Province. Gwanggyosan
Gwanggyosan (582 m) is a mountain in Gyeonggi Province, South Korea. It lies on the border of Suwon and Yongin, though the wider range extends north and so also borders Uiwang, Gwacheon, Seoul, and Seongnam. The summit offers views across Suwon, Yongin, and Bundang. The mountain is commonly hiked from Gwanggyo Reservoir in Suwon. Gwanggyosan and Pungsu Interpreted within the context of traditional Korean logic and beliefs – especially within the realm of Korean Confucianism – Gwanggyosan serves as Suwon's ''jinsan'', or Guardian Mountain. This is in keeping with the logic of ''pungsu'' (known as feng shui in China), which avers that an ideal site for a city or town is one where there is a ''jinsan'' to the north, an open vista, river or a large body of water to the south, and either mountains or valleys to the east and west.
