Senne Rouffaer
Félicien P. I. (Senne) Rouffaer (19 December 1925 – 14 July 2006) was a Flemish actor and film director. One of his most successful films as a lead actor was ''The Man Who Had His Hair Cut Short''. On television, he was chiefly known for his leading role in the mid-1960s children's adventure series, '' Captain Zeppos''. Rouffaer was closely associated with the Royal Flemish Theatre in Brussels, and appeared in many of their productions. In the 1970s he also became a director. Kapellen (, old spelling: ''Cappellen'') is a municipality in the Belgian province of Antwerp. The municipality lies in the Campine in the northern part of the province. Kapellen consists only of the town of Kapellen proper. In 2021, Kapellen had a total population of 27,157. The total area is 37.11 km². Kapellen consists out of multiple neighbourhoods, Kapellen Center, the eastern part of Putte, Kapellenbos, Hoogboom and Zilverenhoek. Johan en de Alverman (''Johan and the Alverman'') was a Flemish children's TV series, broadcast on the BRT (now the VRT) between 1965 and 1966. Together with '' Captain Zeppos'', it is considered to be one of the classics of Flemish children's television. It was very popular and has been repeated many times. It was also a huge success in Italy, Germany, the Netherlands, Sweden and Norway. Concept The story is set in 1650. ''Ad Fundum'' is a 1993 Belgian drama film directed by Erik Van Looy. It is his first feature-length film after the short films ''Dr. Tritsmans'' and ''Yuppies''. It tells the story of some students studying at the university of Leuven who participate in some initiation rites.
