Search engine marketing (SEM) is a form of Internet marketing that involves the promotion of websites by increasing their visibility in search engine results pages (SERPs) primarily through paid advertising. SEM may incorporate search engine optimization (SEO), which adjusts or rewrites website content and site architecture to achieve a higher ranking in search engine results pages to enhance pay per click (PPC) listings and increase the Call to action (CTA) on the website. Market In 2007, U.S. advertisers spent US $24.6 billion on search engine marketing. In Q2 2015, Google (73.7%) and the Yahoo/Bing (26.3%) partnership accounted for almost 100% of U.S. search engine spend. Kazachok
The ExoMars ''Kazachok'' ( rus, Казачок; formerly ExoMars 2020 Surface Platform) was a planned robotic Mars lander led by Roscosmos, part of the ExoMars 2022 joint mission with the European Space Agency. ''Kazachok'' translates as "Little Cossack", and is also the name of a folk dance. The plan calls for a Russian Proton-M rocket to launch the Russian-built lander that will deliver the ''Rosalind Franklin'' rover to the surface of Mars. Once safely landed, ''Kazachok'' will deploy the rover and will start a one Earth-year mission to investigate the surface environment at the landing site. The spacecraft was scheduled to launch in 2020 and land on Mars in mid 2021, but due to the failure of the entry parachutes to pass testing, the launch was moved to a twelve-day launch window starting on 20 September 2022. Ingebjørg Dahl Sem
Ingebjørg Dahl Sem (born 27 August 1936) is a Norwegian Christian writer. She was born in Gjerpen as a daughter of farmers Karl Dahl (1911–96) and Sigrid Marie Simonsen (1913–1986). In July 1960 she married engineer Søren Sem. She finished her secondary education in Skien in 1955, worked in ''Varden'' until 1961 and studied at the Norwegian Journalist Academy from 1958 to 1959. She later studied briefly at the University of Oslo, minoring in Nordic literature in 1971, and attended the Nansen Academy from 1984 to 1985. In the 1960s she was a prolific writer for NRK NRK, an abbreviation of the Norwegian ''Norsk Rikskringkasting Aksjeselskap, AS'', generally expressed in English as the Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation, is the Norwegian government-owned radio and television public broadcasting company, and ... radio's '' Barnetimen for de minste''. Elise Sem
Elise Sem (26 November 1870 – 9 January 1950) was a Norwegian barrister, women's activist and sports official. She was the first female attorney in Europe and the first female barrister in Norway. Early life and education She was a daughter of district stipendiary magistrate Gabriel Egidius Johan Henrik Sem (1824–1900) and Emma Nathalie Christensen (1843–1933). She was a grand niece of Niels Arntzen Sem. She was born in Christiania, but grew up in Mandal. At the age of 24 she moved back to Kristiania to take secondary education. She finished this at Gjertsen School in 1896 and enrolled at the Royal Frederick University in 1897. She graduated with the cand.jur. degree in 1901. Career She could not yet work as an attorney, as this was not possible for women. She was however hired as a junior solicitor by attorney Thorstein Diesen in 1902, and from 1903 to 1904 she served as a deputy judge in Kristiania Probate Court. Georges Goursat ( – ), known as Sem, was a French caricature, caricaturist famous during the ''Belle Époque''. Life and works Youth (1863–1900) Georges Goursat was born and raised in an upper-middle-class family from Périgueux. The wealth inherited from his father at the age of 21 allowed him to sustain a gilded youth. In 1888 he self-publishing, self-published his first three albums of caricatures in Périgueux, signing some as "SEM", allegedly as a tribute to Amédée de Noé who signed his caricatures for ''Le Monde illustré'' as "Cham". He settled in Bordeaux from 1890 to 1898. During this period, he published more albums and his first press caricatures in La Petite Gironde and discovered the work of Leonetto Cappiello. His style matured, becoming both simpler and more precise. During the same period, he made trips to Paris.
