Selsey Football Club is a Semi-professional football club based in Selsey, West Sussex, England. The club is a FA Chartered Standard Community club affiliated to the Sussex County Football Association. The club are currently members of the and play at the High Street Ground. History The club was formed in 1903 playing in various local grounds, before settling at their current home of the High Street ground in the late 1940s. The club played in the West Sussex Football League, winning their first league title in the 1938–39 season, and then winning it a further five times after the Second World War. While in the West Sussex Football League, the club also won the Sussex County FA Intermediate Cup in the 1958–59 campaign. The 1960–61 season saw the club win their last of their six West Sussex Football League titles and gain promotion to Division Two of the Sussex County Football League. Selsey is a seaside town and civil parish, about eight miles (12 km) south of Chichester in West Sussex, England. Selsey lies at the southernmost point of the Manhood Peninsula, almost cut off from mainland Sussex by the sea. It is bounded to the west by Bracklesham Bay, to the north by Broad Rife (''rife''Parish. A Dictionary of the Sussex Dialect. pp. 96–97 being the local word for stream or creek), to the east by Pagham Harbour and terminates in the south at Selsey Bill. Sussex Senior Challenge Cup
The Sussex Senior Cup is an annual association football knock-out cup competition for men's football clubs in the English county of Sussex and is the county senior cup of the Sussex FA. Its official name is the Sussex Senior Challenge Cup. For sponsorship purposes, from 2012 to 2018 it is also known as the Parafix Sussex Senior Cup after a new three-year sponsorship deal was agreed in 2015. First played in the 1882–83 season, shortly after the founding of the Sussex County Football Association in 1882, the first winners of the cup were Brighton Rangers. Other teams who won the cup in its early history are Burgess Hill, Lancing College and Eastbourne. The team with most title wins in the competition's history are Worthing but Sussex's sole Premier League team, Brighton & Hove Albion, have been most successful in recent years. The Macron Southern Combination Football League is a football league broadly covering the counties of East Sussex, West Sussex, Surrey and South West London, England. The league consists of eight divisions – three for first teams (Premier Division, Division One and Division Two), two for Under 23 teams (East Division and West Division) and three for Under 18 teams (East Division, Central Division and West Division). John Crumplin
John Leslie Crumplin (born 26 May 1967) is an English former professional footballer who made more than 200 Football League appearances for Brighton & Hove Albion in the late 1980s and early 1990s. He played as a right back or on the right wing. Career Crumplin was born in Bath, Somerset, in 1967, and spent his early childhood in Singapore, where his soldier father was stationed, before the family settled in Walberton, West Sussex. Omar Chaaban Khaled Bugiel ( ar, عمر خالد شعبان, ; born 3 January 1994), known as Omar Bugiel,) in Arabic., group=note is a professional footballer who plays as a striker for club Sutton United. Bugiel began his senior career in England at Selsey in 2011. After a season, he moved to Burgess Hill Town, before moving back to Selsey in 2013. The Football Association Challenge Vase, usually referred to as the FA Vase, is an annual football competition for teams playing in Steps 5 and 6 of the English National League System (or equivalently, tier 9 or 10 of the overall English football league system). For the 2017–18 season 619 entrants were accepted, with two qualifying rounds preceding the six proper rounds, semi-finals (played over two legs) and final to be played at Wembley Stadium.
