"Sell Out" is a song by American electronic music producer and DJ Marshmello and Los Angeles-based riddim producer Svdden Death. It was released on February 8, 2019 by Marshmello-owned American record label Joytime Collective/Geffen Records. Background and release On January 24, 2018, Svdden Death tweeted that he had finished a studio session with Marshmello, exclaiming his own excitement for the songs' release. Marshmello later posted a short teaser of the collaboration on Twitter, with Svdden Death following suite on Instagram. The former announced the title of the song as "Sell Out", with an expected release date as February 8. Following the announcements, a promotional photo featuring Marshmello and Svdden Death pictured together in a mansion was released on several social media websites. Oliver Dene Jones (born 1 June 1986), known as Skream, is an English electronic music producer based in Croydon. Skream was an early and influential exponent of the dubstep genre. After producing several singles, he released his first full-length album, '' Skream!'', in 2006. Skream and longtime collaborators Artwork and Benga co-founded a music group called Magnetic Man. Genius is an American digital media company founded on August 27, 2009, by Tom Lehman, Ilan Zechory, and Mahbod Moghadam. The site allows users to provide annotations and interpretation to song lyrics, news stories, sources, poetry, and documents. Originally launched as Rap Genius with a focus on hip-hop music, the company attracted the attention and support of celebrities, and venture capital enabling further growth. The site expanded in 2014 to cover other forms of media, such as pop, literature, R&B, and added an annotation-embedded platform. That same year, an iPhone app was released. Christopher William Mercer (born 26 January 1985), known by stage name Rusko, is a British electronic music producer and DJ from York, England. History Rusko was born in Leeds and brought up in nearby York. He grew up in Wheldrake just outside of the city and attended Fulford School. He later graduated from Leeds College of Music with a degree in Music Performance.
