Sejerø is a Danish island in the Kattegat sea, north-west of Zealand. Kalundborg Municipality
Kalundborg Municipality ( da, Kalundborg Kommune) is a municipality in Region Sjælland on the west coast of the island of Zealand in Denmark. The municipality covers an area of , and has a total population of 48,368 (1. January 2022). Its mayor is Martin Damm, a member of Venstre. Nekselø
Nekselø is a small Danish island in the Kattegat off the west coast of Zealand in the Bay of Sejrø. Nekselø has an area of 2.2 km2, 18 inhabitants and is part of Kalundborg Municipality. As of 1 January 2010, it has a population of 20. Description Nekselø consists of an impressive row of hills which culminates at a height of 41 meters at Elmebjerg and Gadebjerg. The cliffs on the west coast are characterised by bushes shaped by the winds. On the east coast, there are coastal meadows and grasslands with woodlands in between, presenting a variety of tree species. The island is a popular venue for tourists. Kattegat
The Kattegat (; sv, Kattegatt ) is a sea area bounded by the Jutlandic peninsula in the west, the Danish Straits islands of Denmark and the Baltic Sea to the south and the provinces of Bohuslän, Västergötland, Halland and Skåne in Sweden in the east. The Baltic Sea drains into the Kattegat through the Danish Straits. The sea area is a continuation of the Skagerrak and may be seen as a bay of the North Sea, but in traditional Scandinavian usage, this is not the case. The Kattegat is a rather shallow sea and can be very difficult and dangerous to navigate because of the many sandy and stony reefs and tricky currents, which often shift. In modern times, artificial seabed channels have been dug, many reefs have been dredged by either sand pumping or stone fishing, and a well-developed light signaling network has been installed, to safeguard the very heavy international traffic of this small sea. Samsø
Samsø (Anglicized: "Samso" or "Samsoe") is a Denmark, Danish island in the Kattegat off the Jutland Peninsula. Samsø is located in Samsø municipality. The community has 3,724 inhabitants (2017) (January 2010:4,010) called ''Samsings'' and is 114 km² in area. Due to its central location, the island was used during the Viking, Viking Age as a meeting place. The etymology of the island's name is unknown.
