Secret Weapons (band)
Secret Weapons is a Brooklyn-based American pop band made up of Gerry Lange and Danny Rocco. The duo is signed to the label Epic Records, where Rocco worked as a lawyer in the label's legal department. They released their self-titled EP ''Secret Weapons'' in 2016. The duo is best known for their single "Something New" released in 2015. In November 2015, the duo was picked as Elvis Duran's Artist of the Month and was featured on NBC's ''Today'' show hosted by Kathie Lee Gifford and Hoda Kotb and broadcast nationally where they performed live their single "Something New". A music video was released on April 12, 2016, and was directed by Nathan Cox. Permanent hiatus (2018) On January 30, 2018, Gerry Lange made a Facebook post announcing his deteriorating health condition and a hiatus for the band. Daniel Rocco, also known as Des Rocs is an American rock artist from New York. Des Rocs is a solo project produced and led by Daniel Rocco. When touring, Rocco is joined by his long time friends and bandmates, William Tully and Eric Mendelsohn. Des Rocs has toured with rock bands such as Muse, The Rolling Stones, and The Struts. Influences for Rocco include Muse, Elvis Presley, Jimi Hendrix, Roy Orbison, Kanye West, and Queen, though Rocco's focus is individuality and sounding unlike other rock artists. Elvis Duran (born Barry Brian Cope; August 5, 1964) is an American radio personality. He is the host of the daily morning radio program ''Elvis Duran and the Morning Show'' in New York on Z100 and in syndication on Premiere Networks. Before his job at Z100, Duran's previous radio work included a stint as an on-air personality at WIOQ in Philadelphia. He served as WIOQ's program director from May 1989 until just before he was fired in February 1990. In October 1991, Duran became both the program director and morning show host of KBTS (now KGSR) in Austin, Texas. Since 2013, ''Elvis Duran's Artist of the Month'' is a regular ''Today Show'' feature fronted by American radio broadcaster Elvis Duran in which he chooses an upcoming solo singer, and at times duos and groups, to spotlight them each month as "Artist(s) of the Month". Kathryn Lee Gifford (née Epstein; born August 16, 1953) is an American television presenter, singer, songwriter, actress and author. From 1985 to 2000, she and Regis Philbin hosted the talk show ''Live! with Regis and Kathie Lee''. Gifford is also known for her 11-year run with Hoda Kotb, on the fourth hour of NBC's ''Today'' show (2008–2019)''.''
