Corey Drew Seager (born April 27, 1994), nicknamed "Seags", is an American professional baseball shortstop for the Texas Rangers of Major League Baseball (MLB). Seager was selected by the Los Angeles Dodgers in the first round of the 2012 Major League Baseball draft, and he made his major league debut in 2015. He was the 2016 National League (NL) Rookie of the Year and was an MLB All-Star in his first two seasons in the majors. He was named the NL Championship Series Most Valuable Player (MVP) and the World Series MVP while leading the Dodgers to the 2020 World Series title over the Tampa Bay Rays. Henry Rogers Seager
Henry Rogers Seager (July 21, 1870 – August 23, 1930, Kiev, Russia) was an American economist, and Professor of Political Economy at Columbia University, who served as president of the American Association for Labor Legislation. Inspired by the work of the Austrian School, Seager published his main work "Principles of Economics" in 1913. Inline with the institutional economics this textbook was typical "empirical and institutional in applied work, that dealt with real markets." In 1929 he published his most cited work, entitled "Trust and corporation problems." Kyle Duerr Seager (born November 3, 1987) is an American former professional baseball third baseman who played his entire career for the Seattle Mariners of Major League Baseball (MLB) from 2011 to 2021. He was selected by the Mariners in the third round of the 2009 MLB draft, and made his MLB debut in 2011. In 2014, Seager was an All Star and won a Gold Glove Award. Sara Seager (born 21 July 1971) is a Canadian-American astronomer and planetary scientist. She is a professor at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and is known for her work on extrasolar planets and their atmospheres. Allan Seager (February 5, 1906 – May 10, 1968) was an American novelist and short story writer based in Michigan. His stories were published in such leading magazines as ''The New Yorker'' and ''Esquire''. He also taught creative writing to generations of students at the University of Michigan from 1935 to 1968. Seager won a Rhodes Scholarship to Oxford University. After returning to the United States, he worked for a time as an assistant editor at '' Vanity Fair'' magazine in New York City. He returned to the university at Ann Arbor to teach creative writing and write his own works. Sir William Henry Seager (1862 – 10 March 1941) was a Welsh shipping magnate and Liberal Party politician who spent four years as a Member of Parliament (MP). Life The Seager family were originally from Ilfracombe, Devon, but moved to Cardiff in the 1850s. William Henry Seager was born in Cardiff and initially worked as a clerk but established his own business, W. H. Seager & Company, ship's chandlers, at 109, Bute Street, Cardiff in 1892. Christopher Paul Seager (born 5 April 1951) is a former Zimbabwean cricketer. Seager was a right-handed batsman. He was born at Salisbury, Southern Rhodesia (today Harare, Zimbabwe). Seager made his debut in English county cricket for Berkshire in the 1970 Minor Counties Championship against Cornwall. He made three further appearances for the county, all coming in that season's competition. While attending the University of Cambridge, Seager made his first-class debut for Cambridge University Cricket Club against Leicestershire in 1970. Sarah Seager (born in 1958 Springfield, Massachusetts) is a conceptual artist associated with the California Conceptualism movement of the late 1980s through mid-1990s based out of Los Angeles, California. Michael Anthony John Seager (born 8 December 1947) is a former Zimbabwean cricketer. Seager was a left-handed batsman who bowled right-arm medium pace. He was born at Salisbury, Southern Rhodesia (today Harare, Zimbabwe). Seager made his debut in English county cricket for Berkshire in the 1969 Minor Counties Championship against Dorset. He played Minor counties cricket for Berkshire in 1969 and 1970 seasons, making a total of ten appearances. Back in Rhodesia, he later made a single first-class appearances for Rhodesia B against Natal B in February 1979. (George) Leighton Seager, 1st Baron Leighton of St Mellons CBE (11 January 1896 – 17 October 1963), known as Sir George Leighton Seager, 1st Baronet, from 1952 to 1962, was a Welsh shipping magnate.
