Seaford Meadows railway station is located on the Seaford line in South Australia. Situated in the southern Adelaide suburb of Seaford Meadows, it is 34.7 kilometres from Adelaide station. History Seaford Meadows station opened on 23 February 2014 as part of the extension of the line from Noarlunga Centre to Seaford. It is located in a triangular section of land between Seaford and Dungeys Roads. The rail line between Seaford Road and Griffiths Drive follows a similar alignment to the former Willunga railway line (now the Coast to Vines Rail Trail) and Seaford Meadows station is located approximately 800m from the site of the former Noarlunga railway station, which is marked by a rest point on the trail. ABC Radio Adelaide
ABC Radio Adelaide (call sign: 5AN) is the ABC Local Radio station for Adelaide. It is broadcast at 891 kHz on the AM band. It is also available on Digital TV in Adelaide. History 5AN started transmitting on 15 October 1937 with equipment located in the central telephone exchange, and a radio mast located in Post Office Place. The station transmitter moved to Brooklyn Park, already the site of 5CL's transmitter, on 4 May 1944. The radio mast was moved from the east side of the building to the south side in 1952 to make way for a road to the projected new airport. Noarlunga is a closed railway station in Adelaide, South Australia. It was an unattended crossing station, with water available. The ticket agency was closed in 1946. Coast To Vines Rail Trail
The Coast to Vines rail trail is a rail trail in the Australian state of South Australia following the course of the disused Willunga railway line in the southern suburbs of Adelaide. It is open to pedestrians and cyclists, and runs for 34 km from Marino, South Australia, Marino to Willunga, South Australia, Willunga. The northern end of the trail continues from the Marino Rocks Greenway near the Marino Rocks railway station, on The Cove Road. From Marino Rocks it follows the Seaford railway line until Hallett Cove railway station, Hallett Cove station where it shares the footbridge over the line. Willunga Railway Line
The Willunga railway line ran through the southern Adelaide suburbs from Adelaide railway station to Willunga, over long (longer than the current Gawler line, ). The line was opened in Willunga by the Governor of South Australia Sir Henry Galway on 20 January 1915, and initially had 16 stopping places between Adelaide and Willunga. It closed beyond Hallett Cove in 1969 and was dismantled in 1972. The Seaford railway line continues from Hallett Cove along a different alignment before rejoining the route of the old line between Seaford Road and Griffiths Drive. The original corridor remains as the long Coast to Vines Rail Trail. There is some evidence of railway track remaining on this trail, notably near the South Road crossing at Hackham, the top of the Seaford Hill and a small section of track in a paddock adjacent to Victor Harbor Road, McLaren Vale. Noarlunga Centre railway station is a railway station on the Seaford line, and for almost 36 years (April 2, 1978 - February 23, 2014) it was the terminus of the line. Situated in the southern Adelaide suburb of Noarlunga Centre, it is 30.2 kilometres from Adelaide station. The station has a bus interchange directly alongside and is adjacent to a large commuter park & ride facility.
