Screamer
The screamers are three South American bird species placed in Family (biology), family Anhimidae. They were thought to be related to the Galliformes because of similar beak, bills, but are more closely related to ducks (family Anatidae),Todd, F. (1991) and most closely related to the magpie goose. The clade is exceptional within the living birds in lacking uncinate processes of ribs. The three species are: The horned screamer (''Anhima cornuta''); the southern screamer or crested screamer (''Chauna torquata''); and the northern screamer or black-necked screamer (''Chauna chavaria''). Systematics and evolution Screamers have a poor fossil record. A putative Eocene specimen is known from Wyoming, while the more modern ''Chaunoides antiquus'' is known from the late Oligocene to early Miocene in Brazil. ''Screamer'' is the sixth studio album by the American alternative rock band Third Eye Blind. It was released on October 18, 2019 by Mega Collider Records. Background Frontman Stephan Jenkins had made many different comments about the prospect of the band recording a sixth studio album prior to the release of ''Screamer''. As far back as 2012, Jenkins stated that the band would not ever make a sixth studio album, stating that after the release of their fifth studio album, 2015's ''Dopamine'', they would cease recording full albums in favor of touring and recording smaller EP releases. In the coming years, the band would focus on EP releases, including '' We Are Drugs'' in 2016, a cancelled EP entitled ''Summer Gods'' that was supposed to explore trap music in 2017, and an EP of cover songs, '' Thanks for Everything'', in 2018. A jump scare (often shortened to jumpscare) is a technique often used in horror films and video games, intended to scare the audience by surprising them with an abrupt change in image or event, usually co-occurring with a loud, jarring sound. The jump scare has been described as "one of the most basic building blocks of horror movies". Jump scares can startle the viewer by appearing at a point in the film where the soundtrack is quiet and the viewer is not expecting anything alarming to happen, or can be the sudden payoff to a long period of suspense. The Indian locomotive class WDM-2 is a class of diesel-electric locomotive that was developed in 1962 by American Locomotive Company (ALCO) for Indian Railways. The model name stands for broad gauge (W), Diesel (D), Mixed traffic (M) engine, 2nd generation (2). They entered service in 1962. A total of more than 2,700 WDM-2 was built at ALCO and Banaras Locomotive Works (BLW or DLW, as it was formerly Diesel Locomotive Works), Varanasi between 1962 and 1998, which made them the most numerous class of mainline diesel locomotive until its successor the WDM-3A. The WDM-2 is one of the most successful locomotives of Indian Railways serving both passenger and freight trains for over 60 years. Screamer Pipe
{{unreferenced, date=November 2018 A screamer pipe is a type of exhaust configuration fitted to some automotive turbocharged petrol engines with an external wastegate set-up, which vents the waste exhaust to the atmosphere through a separate un-muffled pipe, rather than back into the main exhaust track. This exhaust setup is known for its loud noise. Principle of operation To regulate the boost pressure on turbocharged engines a wastegate is fitted to allow exhaust gases to bypass the turbine and flow straight down the exhaust down-pipe. This can cause turbulent airflow around the turbine and high exhaust back pressure. To overcome this problem, gases can be re-routed down a separate pipe and vented straight to the atmosphere, resulting in improved performance. EMD F40PH
The EMD F40PH is a four-axle B-B diesel-electric locomotive built by General Motors Electro-Motive Division in several variants from 1975 to 1992. Intended for use on Amtrak's short-haul passenger routes, it became the backbone of Amtrak's diesel fleet after the failure of the EMD SDP40F. The F40PH also found widespread use on commuter railroads in the United States and with Via Rail in Canada. Additional F40PH variants were manufactured by Morrison-Knudsen and MotivePower between 1988 and 1998, mostly rebuilt from older locomotives. The Armstrong Siddeley Screamer was a British rocket engine intended to power the Avro 720 manned interceptor aircraft (Avro's competitor to the Saunders-Roe SR.53 for a rocket-powered interceptor). Thrust was variable, up to a maximum of . Design and development Work on the Screamer started in 1946, with the first static test at Armstrong Siddeley's rocket plant at Ansty in March 1954. ''Good Charlotte'' is the debut album by American rock band Good Charlotte released September 26, 2000 through Epic and Daylight. The Screamers
The Screamers were an American electropunk group founded in 1975. They were among the first wave of the L.A. punk rock scene. The Los Angeles Times applied the label "techno-punk" to the band in 1978. In the documentary '' Punk: Attitude'' (2005), vocalist Jello Biafra of the Dead Kennedys cites the Screamers as a key influence on their group and as one of the great unrecorded groups in rock history. The Screamers were noted for unusual instrumentation (a drummer and two keyboardists usually on ARP Odyssey synthesizer and Fender Rhodes electric piano). Additional musicians, including violinists and a female vocalist, were occasionally incorporated into their performances.
