Scotti Brothers Records
Scotti Brothers Records (typically spelled Scotti Bros. Records) was a California-based record label founded by Tony and Ben Scotti in 1974. Their first success was releasing singles and albums from teen pop star Leif Garrett. They later helped launch the careers of David Hallyday, Felony, Survivor, and "Weird Al" Yankovic (the latter under their Rock 'n' Roll banner). They also signed James Brown to a recording contract in the mid-1980s as well as the UK act Flag featuring David Cairns from Secret Affair and Archie Brown. Tommy Puett released his only album ''Life Goes On'' in 1990 under Scotti Brothers Records. The label, as well as the Scotti brothers themselves, ran an independent motion picture production company Scotti Bros. Susan Anton
Susan Ellen Anton is an American actress and singer. Early life Anton attended Yucaipa High School in Yucaipa, California, and graduated in 1968. After high school, Anton attended San Bernardino Valley College. She first experienced fame by winning the nearby Miss Redlands and later the Miss California beauty contests in 1969 and tied as second runner-up in the 1969 Miss America Scholarship Pageant held September 6 that year. Career Starting in 1976, Anton developed a following for her Muriel Cigar commercials where she sang, "Let Muriel turn you on / That is my desire / Muriel lights a flame in me / Where there's Muriel smoke, there's fire". Later in the 1970s, Anton appeared approximately 30 times on Merv Griffin's TV show. She was frequently seen and heard in television, print and radio ads for the Perfect Sleeper mattress by Serta. Caught In The Game
''Caught in the Game'' is the fourth album by American rock band Survivor, released in October 1983. It features guest appearances by Mr. Mister's Richard Page and REO Speedwagon's Kevin Cronin. It is the band's last album to-date to feature lead vocalist Dave Bickler, who left due to vocal surgery. Bickler rejoined the band from 1993 to 2000, and again from 2013 to 2016. The first single "Caught In The Game" went to #77 at Billboard Hot 100 chart and later "I Never Stopped Loving You" failed to hit the Hot 100 reaching only #104. The hard to find 1999 Pony Canyon Japanese release on CD featured an insert with lyrics in English and Japanese and an OBI strip. ''The Shakin' Pyramids'' is a compilation album from the Scottish Neo-Rockabilly group The Shakin' Pyramids, released shortly after the group's disbandment in 1983 by Rock 'n Roll Records, a Scotti Brothers Records subsidiary. The album features ten tracks: five from their 1981 debut album, '' Skin 'Em Up'', and five from their second and final album, '' Celts and Cobras'', released in 1982. Although normally billed as a trio, live and session bassist Dave Rivett joins the band on the album cover. The Shakin' Pyramids
The Shakin' Pyramids (also known as Shakin' Pyramids) were a Scottish rockabilly band formed in Glasgow in 1980. The band consisted of Dave Duncan (vocals, harmonica, percussion) James G. Creighton (acoustic and electric guitar, vocals) and "Railroad" Ken McLellan (acoustic guitar, vocals). During the band's recording career from 1980–1983, they released two studio albums, four singles, and three extended plays—the last of which was recorded with the British musician Lonnie Donegan. Although the Shakin' Pyramids did not enjoy any major chart successes, their output was well-received by critics and has been described as having helped define the rockabilly revival of the early 1980s. Felony was an American new wave and rock band formed in Los Angeles, California, in the early 1970s by brothers Jeffrey Scott Spry (Lead Vocals), Joseph Anthony Spry (Guitars and Vocals), brothers Danny Sands (Piano and Keyboards) and Steve Sands (Sound Engineer). Big Ric
Big Ric was a short-lived rock and power pop band from Los Angeles, California. The band was formed in 1982 by lead singer Joel Porter. Keyboardist Kevin DiSimone previously did work on some of Barry Manilow's albums such as co-writing the song "Stay" from Manilow's album ''Here Comes the Night''. Guitarist John Pondel also worked with Manilow as he played guitar on Manilow's album ''If I Should Love Again''. The band released one self-titled album in 1983. A single from the album, "Take Away", charted at number 91 on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100 in late 1983.
