Scott Wilson (footballer Born 1977)
Scott Peter Wilson (born 19 March 1977) is a Scottish former footballer, who played for Rangers, Portsmouth, Dunfermline Athletic and North Queensland Fury. Wilson represented Scotland at under-21 international level. Club career Wilson signed for Rangers in 1993 from the club's youth system. He made his debut as a 19-year-old in a UEFA Champions League defeat against Ajax at Ibrox in 1996. Having been sent off in an Old Firm match which contributed to a heavy defeat at the hands of Celtic in November 1998, Wilson regained his place in the squad for the 1–0 victory over the same opposition in the 1999 Scottish Cup Final in which he appeared as a substitute, and contributed to Scottish Premier League title wins for the club in that campaign and the next. He made a total of 75 appearances for Rangers, scoring one goal against Dundee United, before moving to Portsmouth on loan near the end of the 2001–02 season. Northern Fury Football Club was an Australian professional soccer club based in Townsville, Queensland. The club was founded in 2008 and competed in the A-League under the name North Queensland Fury. On 1 March 2011, the club was removed from the league due to financial instability. On 3 October 2012, the club officially re-formed after it was granted a licence to participate in the National Premier League Queensland. After rebranding themselves as "North Queensland United" in 2017, the club disbanded a second time at the end of the 2018 Football Queensland season. A-League Men (known as the Isuzu UTE A-League for sponsorship reasons) is the highest-level professional men's soccer league in Australia and New Zealand. At the top of the Australian league system, it is the country's premier men's competition for the sport. A-League Men was established in 2004 as the A-League by the Football Federation Australia (FFA) as a successor to the National Soccer League (NSL) and competition commenced in August 2005. 2008–09 Scottish Cup
The 2008–09 Scottish Cup was the 124th season of Scotland's most prestigious football knockout competition. The winners were Rangers, who defeated Falkirk in the 2009 final on 30 May 2009. The competition was under new sponsorship. While the SFA sponsored the tournament last season, the new sponsor was Homecoming Scotland 2009, a project from the Scottish Government to encourage Scots from all over the world to visit the country. The tournament itself was known as The Homecoming Scottish Cup Banks o' Dee, Bathgate Thistle, Lochee United and Pollok were the four junior clubs that entered this season. 2007 Scottish Challenge Cup Final
The 2007 Scottish Challenge Cup Final was an association football match between Dunfermline Athletic and St Johnstone, held on 25 November 2007 at Dens Park in Dundee. It was the 17th final of the Scottish Challenge Cup since it was first organised in 1990 to celebrate the centenary of the Scottish Football League. St Johnstone progressed through four knock-out rounds to reach the final whilst Dunfermline Athletic contested only three after receiving a random bye into the second round. The 2007 final was Dunfermline's second appearance in a cup final in six months having lost the previous season's Scottish Cup final in May, however, it was the club's first Challenge Cup final. Greg Shields
Greg Shields (born 21 August 1976) is a Scottish football player and coach, who is currently Head of Academy - Football with Dunfermline Athletic. His playing career was most closely associated with Dunfermline Athletic, as he played for the club over 200 times across two spells and was their captain in two national cup finals. Shields also played for Rangers, Charlton Athletic, Walsall, Kilmarnock, Partick Thistle and the Carolina RailHawks. He represented Scotland in under-21 and B internationals.
