Scott Terry (musician)
Scott Terry (born May 15, 1976) is an American songwriter and singer. Since 1996, he has fronted the Americana rock and roll band Red Wanting Blue. Terry is best known for passionate and often emotional live performances, autobiographical writing style and rugged baritone singing voice. Terry has performed live nationally with his band on The Late Show, VH1, has written music used in television and film, and was the subject of “RWB20: Live at The Lincoln Theater” a concert film celebrating the first 20 years of Red Wanting Blue's career. Early life Scott Terry was born in West Milford, New Jersey, and is the middle child of three sons born to a public school teacher and a local township government employee. West Milford, New Jersey
West Milford is a township in Passaic County, New Jersey, United States. As of the 2010 United States Census, the township's population was 25,850, reflecting a decline of 560 (−2.1%) from the 26,410 counted in the 2000 Census, which had in turn increased by 980 (+3.9%) from the 25,430 counted in the 1990 Census. It is the largest in the county by total area, covering and more than 40% of the county. History West Milford started out as New Milford in what was then western Bergen County in the 18th century, having been settled by disenchanted Dutch from Milford, New Jersey (later renamed by the British as Newark). The Alternate Routes
The Alternate Routes are an American rock band based in Bridgeport, Connecticut. The group was formed by Tim Warren and Eric Donnelly in 2002 while studying at Fairfield University. As of early 2013, The Alternate Routes were touring and working on a new album to follow up ''Lately''. Career In 2005, the band recorded their debut album, ''Good and Reckless and True'', with producer Jay Joyce in Nashville, TN. The next few years were spent touring and honing their live sound. In 2006, the band won an Independent Music Award for the song "Ordinary." Later that year, the band signed with Vanguard Records. In 2007, the band re-released ''Good and Reckless and True'' on Vanguard, and released a limited-edition acoustic album. This album, available only at shows, was affectionately titled ''The Brooklawn Sessions'', referring to the house where Tim and then bass player Chip Johnson lived and recorded the album.
