Scott William Smith (born 7 February 2001) is a professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for the club Torquay United on loan from club Wigan Athletic. Born in England, he is a youth international for Wales. Career Smith joined the youth academy of Wigan Athletic, and worked his way up their youth categories. Joseph Scott Smith (October 21, 1948 — February 4, 1995) was a gay rights activist best known for his romantic relationship with Harvey Milk, for whom he was a campaign manager. Biography Smith was born in Key West, Florida, and grew up in Jackson, Mississippi. He then attended Memphis State University for three years before moving to New York City in 1969, where he met Harvey Milk, moving with him to San Francisco three years later, where the couple founded Castro Camera. Harvey Milk and Scott Smith were engaged in a romantic relationship for 7 years. Smith was instrumental to Milk's career as an activist and politician. He organized and managed Milk's campaigns for public office from 1974 to 1977 and his influence was widely in evidence after Milk was elected to the San Francisco Board of Supervisors in 1977. Scott Smith (born 1959) is a politician in Manitoba, Canada. He was a member of the Legislative Assembly of Manitoba as New Democratic Party from 1999 to 2007, and was a cabinet minister in the government of Gary Doer. Early life and career Smith was born and raised in Brandon, Manitoba, and worked as a firefighter for twenty years before entering provincial politics. He was elected to the Brandon City Council in 1995, defeating an incumbent councillor in the city's seventh ward. He also ran for Mayor of Brandon in a by-election two years later, and finished third against Reg Atkinson in a close three-way contest. Smith continued to sit as a councillor during the mayoral campaign, and was re-elected without opposition in 1998. Scott Smith (born 1956) is an American businessman and politician, elected as the 38th mayor of Mesa, Arizona, on May 20, 2008. He took office on June 2, 2008 and served until April 16, 2014, when he resigned to run for Governor of Arizona in the Republican Primary. In 2013–14, he was president of the United States Conference of Mayors. He was previously president of both Great Western Homes and K. Hovnanian Homes.
