Scooby-Doo On Zombie Island
''Scooby-Doo on Zombie Island'' is a 1998 American direct-to-video animated mystery comedy horror film based on Hanna-Barbera's ''Scooby-Doo'' Saturday-morning cartoons. In the film, Shaggy, Scooby, Fred, Velma, and Daphne reunite after a year-long hiatus from Mystery, Inc. to investigate a bayou island said to be haunted by the ghost of the pirate Morgan Moonscar. The film was directed by Jim Stenstrum, from a screenplay by Glenn Leopold. Popularity for ''Scooby-Doo'' had grown in the 1990s due to reruns aired on Cartoon Network. The channel's parent company, Time Warner, suggested developing a direct-to-video (DTV) film on the property. The team at Hanna-Barbera consisted of many veteran artists and writers. The New Scooby Doo Mysteries
''The New Scooby and Scrappy-Doo Show'' is the sixth incarnation of the Hanna-Barbera Saturday morning cartoon ''Scooby-Doo''. It premiered on September 10, 1983, featuring the return of Daphne, and ran for one season on ABC as a half-hour program made up of two eleven-minute short cartoons. In 1984, the name of the show was changed to ''The New Scooby-Doo Mysteries'', with the actual show format remaining the same. Skycycle was a Los Angeles-based alternative rock band, led by former MTV VJ and singer-songwriter Steve Isaacs. The band is perhaps best known for their contributions to the 1998 ''Scooby-Doo on Zombie Island'' soundtrack. Band history Formation While touring as the main character in ''The Who's Tommy'' for sixteen months, Isaacs was planning to form a band after he finished touring in January 1995. He came up with the band name Skycycle while reading an article in ''Entertainment Weekly'' about the two-wheeled rocket in which Evel Knievel attempted to jump the Snake River Canyon in 1974. Isaacs initially started out playing with drummer Rob Brown, playing their first show on October 31, 1995. Third Eye Blind is an American rock band formed in San Francisco, California, in 1993. After years of lineup changes in the early and mid-1990s, the songwriting duo of Stephan Jenkins and Kevin Cadogan signed the band's first major-label recording contract with Elektra Records in 1996. The band released their self-titled debut album in 1997, with the band largely consisting of Jenkins (vocals, rhythm guitar), Cadogan (lead guitar), Arion Salazar (bass guitar), and Brad Hargreaves (drums). Shortly after the release of the band's second album in 1999, ''Blue'', with the same line-up, Cadogan was released from the band under controversial circumstances. Fred Jones is a fictional character in the American animated series ''Scooby-Doo'', leader of a quartet of teenage mystery solvers and their Great Dane companion, Scooby-Doo.
