Schvartze
Schvartze (from ; cf. German: ; OED) is a racial slur for black people in the Yiddish language. Etymology ''Schvartze'' is derived from the Yiddish word ''schvarts'', which means "black". An article for the Washington Jewish Week refers to it as "the S-word". About The term ''schvartze'' has been described as "the Jewish N-word" or "the Yiddish N-word". Upper-middle class Jews during the 1800s and 1900s often used the term to describe their black servants because it was assumed they wouldn't understand the word. Among white South African Jews, the term has a history of being used to describe black South Africans, as well as Indian South Africans and Coloured South Africans. Black Jewish writer Michael W. Mark Robinson (American Politician)
Mark Keith Robinson (born August 8, 1968) is an American politician and businessman serving as the 35th lieutenant governor of North Carolina since 2021. A member of the Republican Party, he is the first African-American to hold the office. After defeating Democratic nominee Yvonne Lewis Holley in the 2020 lieutenant gubernatorial election, he succeeded Republican Dan Forest, who had made an unsuccessful run for the governorship against incumbent Democrat Roy Cooper. Racism in Jewish communities is a source of concern for people of color, particularly for Jews of color. The National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) is a civil rights organization in the United States, formed in 1909 as an interracial endeavor to advance justice for African Americans by a group including W. E. B. Du Bois, Mary White Ovington, Moorfield Storey and Ida B. Wells. Leaders of the organization included Thurgood Marshall and Roy Wilkins.
