School Of Synthesis
School of Synthesis is a musical school in Melbourne, Australia specializing in electronic music. School of Synthesis was formed in 2010 by ARIA Award-winning Australian music producer, composer, sound designer Davide Carbone and DJ and music producer Mike Callander. Carbone and Callander met at RMIT University in Melbourne where Callander was a student and Carbone a teacher in sound recording. Apart from offering courses in Ableton Live, Logic Pro, Sound Design (featuring Native Instruments software Massive and Kontakt), Electronic Music Theory, Maschine and Mixing and Mastering, the school runs free monthly events that are intended to unite and promote artistry and electronic music production in Melbourne. Sound Recording
Sound recording and reproduction is the electrical, mechanical, electronic, or digital inscription and re-creation of sound waves, such as spoken voice, singing, instrumental music, or sound effects. The two main classes of sound recording technology are analog recording and digital recording. Sound recording is the transcription of invisible vibrations in air onto a storage medium such as a phonograph disc. The process is reversed in sound reproduction, and the variations stored on the medium are transformed back into sound waves. Stereosonic
Stereosonic was an annual electronic dance music festival held in Australia in November and early December. Stereosonic was held in Brisbane, Adelaide, Perth, Sydney, and Melbourne, attracting attendances of up to 200,000 patrons nationally featuring the biggest electronic artists in the world. Stereosonic was a collaboration of two major Australia promoters Totem Industries and Onelove Music Group. In 2010 Totem Industries and Onelove Music Group created Totem Onelove Group, Australia's leading electronic music companies. In 2013 Totem Onelove Group was acquired by U.S. based global electronic music company SFX Entertainment of New York. As of 2012, it was regarded as Australia's fastest growing music festival. Joris Voorn
Joris Voorn (; born 25 February 1977 in Tilburg) is a Dutch DJ and record producer who lives in Amsterdam. Voorn is the co-owner of the Amsterdam-based labels Rejected (with Edwin Oosterwal) and Green. Biography A DJ competition in Enschede started Voorn' music career. In 2002 he released an EP, "Muted Trax". This release, as well as support from Carl Craig, Derrick May and Laurent Garnier made him decide to focus on his DJing career. In 2003 his "Lost Memories" EP became another underground hit. In the same year Voorn was crowned Talent of the Year at the Dutch DJ Awards. In 2009 he released the "Balance014" compilation, which mixed 100 songs into a double CD, morphing them into a collective mix. Logic Pro
Logic Pro is a digital audio workstation (DAW) and MIDI music sequencer, sequencer software application for the macOS platform. It was originally created in the early 1990s as Notator Logic, or Logic, by German software developer C-Lab which later went by Emagic. Davide Carbone (born 1971, in Melbourne, Australia) is an Australian music producer, composer, sound designer and technologist. Listed as one of the 7 most influential Australian music producers of all time by Australia's premier audio and music publication Mixdown Magazine, Carbone has released several records, produced music for major artists, composed music and created sound design for TV, film, theatre, and video games, and developed music making software. Biography Carbone was born in 1971 in Melbourne and started as a DJ in the Melbourne nightclub scene.
