Schleswig-Holstein-Liga
The Oberliga Schleswig-Holstein, formerly referred to as ''Schleswig-Holstein-Liga'', is the fifth tier of the German football league system and the highest league in the German state of Schleswig-Holstein. It is one of fourteen Oberligas in German football. Overview 1945–1963 The league was formed in 1947 as Schleswig-Holstein-Liga by thirty clubs in three divisions of ten, in the newly created state of Schleswig-Holstein which was then part of the British occupation zone in Germany. On 30 August 1947, the ''Schleswig-Holstein FA'' (SHFV) was formed. From the start, the league was a feeder league to the Oberliga Nord which its champion had the option of promotion to. Promotion had to be achieved through a play-off with teams from the ''Amateurligen'' of Lower Saxony, Bremen and Hamburg. Holstein Kiel II
Kieler Sportvereinigung Holstein von 1900 e.V., simply as KSV Holstein or Kieler SV Holstein, commonly known as Holstein Kiel (), is a German association football and sports club based in the city of Kiel, Schleswig-Holstein. From the 1900s through the 1960s the club was one of the most dominant sides in northern Germany. Holstein appeared regularly in the national playoffs, capturing their most important title, the German football championship in 1912, and finishing as vice-champions in 1910 and 1930. Itzehoer SV
Itzehoer SV was a German association football club from the town of Itzehoe, Schleswig-Holstein. The club's greatest success was promotion to the tier-one Oberliga Nord, where it spent a single season in 1950–51. It also played in the then-second division Regionalliga Nord from 1965 to 1974. Itzehoe also made five appearances in the first round of the German Cup, the DFB-Pokal, advancing to the second round just once, in 1977–78. In later times the club suffered from financial difficulties, merging with another local club and changing its name to Itzehoer FC but reverting to the old name in early 2015 until its folding in 2018. VfR Neumünster is a German association football club based in Neumünster, Schleswig-Holstein. The club was established on 3 March 1910 as FV Neumünster by members of FC Germania 1907 Neumünster and FC Viktoria 1909 Neumünster. FC Kilia Kiel
FC Kilia Kiel is a German association football club from the city of Kiel, Schleswig-Holstein. History The club was formed 23 July 1902 by a group of footballers who had left ''1. Kieler Fußballverein von 1900'' which plays today as ''Holstein Kiel''. Through the 1920s the club played in the Nordkreisliga where it was competitive enough to earn second-place finishes behind ''Holstein'' in 1922, 1923 and 1924. The next season the Kreisliga was split into two sections; the Fördestaffel and the Eiderstaffel, with ''Holstein'' playing in the former and ''Kilia'' the latter. This did not change the club's fortunes, however, as ''Kilia'' was unable to overtake its rival and make it out of regional league play to the national level. Oberliga (football)
The Oberliga (, "Upper League"; plural: ''Oberligen'') is the fifth tier of the German football league system. Before the introduction of the 3. Liga in 2008, it was the fourth tier. At the end of the 2011–12 season the number of Oberligas was increased from eleven to fourteen. With the exception of the Nazi Germany, Nazi-era ''Gauliga'', the term ''Oberliga'' (equivalent to ''Premier League'' in English) was used prior to the Introduction of the Bundesliga, formation of the Bundesliga in 1963 for first-division leagues in Germany. Between 1978–94 the term ''Amateuroberliga'' was used for third-tier leagues, which were then the highest level of amateur play in the country. TSV Altenholz is a German football club from the city of Altenholz, Schleswig-Holstein. History The club was established as the gymnastics club ''Turn- und Sportverein Altenholz'' on 1 May 1948 and did not form a football department until nearly two decades later on 29 June 1966. Landesliga Schleswig-Holstein
The Landesliga Schleswig-Holstein is the sixth tier of the German football league system and the second-highest league in the German state of Schleswig-Holstein, supplanting the Verbandsligen at that level in the state. Overview The Landesliga was relaunched to start play in the 2017–18 season as part of realignments in the league system of Schleswig-Holstein and as a solution to the problem of many teams promoted to the ''Verbandsliga'' ending up relegated or withdrawn after one season. The league is divided into two divisions of 16 clubs each, Schleswig (north-west) and Holstein (south-east), and teams promoted to or relegated from it will be assigned to a division based on geographical proximity, a practice called "flexible game operation" (german: flexibler Spielbetrieb). Heider SV
Heider SV is a German association football club from the city of Heide, Schleswig-Holstein. The club was founded 14 October 1925 by what was the reserve side of '' VfL 05 Heide''. The reservists thought they were the better side and challenged the first team to a match, which they won. The Oberliga Nord was the fourth tier of the German football league system in the north of Germany. It covered the states of Lower Saxony, Bremen, Hamburg and Schleswig-Holstein.
