Scarborough—Agincourt is a provincial electoral district in Ontario, Canada that has been represented in the Legislative Assembly of Ontario since 1987. The riding covers the northwest of the Scarborough part of Toronto. It is bounded on the west by Victoria Park Avenue, on the north by the Toronto city limits (Steeles Avenue East), on the east by Midland Avenue, and on the south by Highway 401. It contains the neighbourhoods of Steeles, L'Amoreaux, Tam O'Shanter-Sullivan, Agincourt (west of Midland Avenue) and Milliken (west of Midland Avenue). Aris Babikian (Armenian: Արիս Պապիկեան) is a Canadian politician who was elected to the Legislative Assembly of Ontario in the 2018 provincial election. Agincourt () is a neighbourhood and former village in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Agincourt is located in northeast Toronto, along Sheppard Avenue between Kennedy and Markham Roads (north-south includes lands between Highway 401 and Finch Avenue). It is officially recognized by the City of Toronto as occupying the neighbourhoods of Agincourt South–Malvern West and Agincourt North. The name Agincourt is often used to refer to a larger area of northwest Scarborough rather than just the officially recognized neighbourhood. 2007 Ontario Electoral Reform Referendum
A referendum was held on October 10, 2007, on the question of whether to establish a mixed member proportional representation (MMP) system for elections to the Legislative Assembly of Ontario. The vote was strongly in favour of the existing plurality voting or first-past-the-post (FPTP) system. Bob Frankford
Robert Timothy Stansfield "Bob" Frankford (August 1, 1939 – August 1, 2015) was a politician in Ontario, Canada. He was a New Democratic member of the Legislative Assembly of Ontario from 1990 to 1995 who represented the Toronto riding of Scarborough East. James Gary Brown (July 23, 1943 – January 31, 2020) was a politician in Ontario, Canada. He was a Progressive Conservative member of the Legislative Assembly of Ontario from 1995 to 1999 who represented the east Toronto riding of Scarborough West. The Ontario Liberal Party (OLP; french: Parti libéral de l'Ontario, PLO) is a political party in the province of Ontario, Canada. The party has been led by interim leader John Fraser since August 2022. Gerry Phillips
Gerry Phillips (born September 11, 1940) is a former politician in Ontario, Canada. He was a Liberal member of the Legislative Assembly of Ontario who represented the eastern Toronto riding of Scarborough—Agincourt from 1987 to 2011. He served as a cabinet minister in the governments of David Peterson and Dalton McGuinty. Kevin Clarke (politician)
Kevin Mark Clarke (born March 21, 1964) is a Canadian former educator, activist and perennial candidate who is the founder and former leader of The People's Political Party. He is considered one of the most recognizable homeless persons in the city of Toronto, campaigning on "the people's rights." Clarke advocates for comprehensive reform in the criminal justice system, to create a system that prevents recidivism among first-time offenders.
