Saul Phillips (basketball)
Saul Edward Phillips (born October 10, 1972) is an American college basketball coach. He is currently the head coach of the Northern State Wolves men's basketball team. Phillips is a graduate of University of Wisconsin–Platteville. Coaching career North Dakota State University Phillips got his start at NDSU as an assistant coach under Tim Miles in 2004. When Miles left the school to coach Colorado State in 2007, Phillips was promoted to head coach. In 2009 Phillips led the North Dakota State Bison to win the Summit League tournament championship and became the first team since Southwestern Louisiana (now Louisiana–Lafayette) in 1972 to advance to the NCAA Men's Division I Basketball Championship in their first year of eligibility. On January 17, 2013; Saul Phillips notched his 100th win with the Bison. Phillips reached the NCAA tournament once again in 2014 after winning the Summit League tournament. Northern State Wolves Men's Basketball
The Northern State Wolves are the athletic teams that represent Northern State University, located in Aberdeen, South Dakota, U.S., in NCAA Division II intercollegiate sports. The Wolves compete as members of the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference for all 13 varsity sports. Northern State has been a member of the conference since 1978, and they also have the fifth-smallest enrollment of the 16 member schools. In the 1990s, all members of the NSIC solely became members of NCAA Division II, after spending many years with dual membership with the NAIA. Timothy Sean Miles (born August 20, 1966) is an American college basketball coach who is the current head coach of the San Jose State Spartans men's basketball team. Miles previously served as the head coach of North Dakota State University, Colorado State University and the University of Nebraska. Miles is a graduate of the University of Mary. Coaching career Early career Following his playing career at the University of Mary, Miles spent five seasons as an assistant coach at Northern State University, where the Wolves went to four NAIA II national tournaments and two national championship games. In 1995, Miles left to accept his first head coaching job at NAIA II Mayville State. The 2015–16 Ohio Bobcats men's basketball team represented Ohio University during the 2015–16 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Bobcats, led by second year head coach Saul Phillips, played its home games at the Convocation Center in Athens, Ohio as a member of the East Division of the Mid-American Conference. Maurice Ndour
Maurice Daly Ndour (born June 18, 1992) is a Senegalese professional basketball player for the Nagoya Diamond Dolphins of the Japanese basketball league. He played college basketball for the Ohio Bobcats and has represented the Senegalese national team, where he participated in the 2014 FIBA Basketball World Cup. Early life Ndour, a Senegalese native, was born in Sindia and raised in M'Bour where he played soccer and basketball as a youth. During his teenage years, he was noticed playing in a local basketball tournament and was asked if he'd like to play high school basketball in Japan. The 2014 NCAA Division I men's basketball tournament involved 68 teams playing in a single-elimination tournament to determine the national champion of men's NCAA Division I college basketball.
